THE TORAH ACCOUNTS
Leviticus 23:23-25
Lev 23:23 And יהוה spoke to Moses, to say, 24 Speak to the Sons of Israel, to say, In the seventh renewed month on the one of the renewed month shall be to you a Shabbathon (Rest) of a Memorial (Reminder) of Blowing (Sounding, Signaling) of a Sacred (Holy) Calling (Convocation). 25 You shall not do any work of service: and you shall bring near a Fire Offering to יהוה.
Looking at the following words:
MEMORIAL
The Hebrew word for memorial is "zeekh-ah-rohn"- Zayin, Kaph, Resh, Vav, Noon Sophit (זכרון). It is from Strong's Concordance number 2146, and its definition
From H2142; a memento (or memorable thing, day or writing): - memorial, record.
from 2142 "zah-khahr" (זכר), and its definition
A primitive root; properly to mark (so as to be recognized), that is, to remember; by implication to mention; also (as denominative from H2145) to be male: - X burn [incense], X earnestly, be male, (make) mention (of), be mindful, recount, record (-er), remember, make to be remembered, bring (call, come, keep, put) to (in) remembrance, X still, think on, X well.
Notice that in the Hebrew text, the Hebrew word "zeekh-ah-rohn" has a Vav and Nun in the end (זכרון). This tells us that this Hebrew word is in the feminine.
BLOWING
The Hebrew word for blowing is "t'roo-ah"- Tav, Resh, Vav, Ayin, Heh (תרועה). It is from Strong's Concordance number 8643, and its definition
From H7321; clamor, that is, acclamation of joy or a battle cry; especially clangor of trumpets, as an alarum: - alarm, blow (-ing) (of, the) (trumpets), joy, jubile, loud noise, rejoicing, shout (-ing), (high, joyful) sound (-ing).
from 7321 "roo-ah" רוע), and its definition
"A primitive root; to mar (especially by breaking); figuratively to split the ears (with sound), that is, shout (for alarm or joy): - blow an alarm, cry (alarm, aloud, out), destroy, make a joyful noise, smart, shout (for joy), sound an alarm, triumph".
The phrase "memorial of blowing" is the Hebrew "Zeekh-ah-rohn T'rooah" (זכרון תרועה).
It is commanded to blow the shofar on the new moons, including Yom Teruah, which is noted in the book of Numbers
Numbers 10:10
Num 10:10 And for separation between the Holy and between the profane, and between the unclean and between the clean; 11 And to teach את-the Sons of Israel את all of the Statutes which יהוה had spoken to them on the hand of Moses.
This scripture commands us to blow the trumpets for the sacrifices.
יהוה commanded the following sacrifices for the day of Yom Teruah which is noted in the book of Numbers
Numbers 29:1-6
Num 29:1 And in the seventh renewed month, on the one of the renewed month, shall be to you a Sacred (Holy) Calling (Convocation); you shall not do any work of service: shall be to you a Day of Blowing (Sounding). 2 And you shall do (prepare) an Elevation Offering (Ascension Offering, a Burnt Offering) for a pleasant scent to יהוה; one bullock of a son of a herd, one ram, seven sheep of sons of a year, perfect ones: 3 and their Donation Offering (Tribute Offering, Food Offering, Grain Offering, Apportion Offering) shall be of flour overflowed (mixed) in the oil, three tenths for the bullock, two tenths for the ram, 4 And one tenth for the one sheep, for the seven sheep: 5 And one goat of the kids of a Sin Offering to atone upon you: 6 from by apart the Elevation Offering (Ascension Offering, Burnt Offering) of the renewed month, and her Donation Offering (Tribute Offering, Food Offering, Grain Offering, Apportion Offering), and the Continual Elevation Offering [(Continual Ascension Offering, Continual Burnt Offering)], and her Donation Offering (Tribute Offering, Food Offering, Grain Offering, Apportion Offering), and their Drink Offerings (Libation Offerings), according to [(as)] their Ordinance, for a pleasant scent, a Fire Offering to יהוה.
In verse one of this Numbers passage, the Hebrew phrase for "day of blowing" is "yom teruah" (יום תרועה). This is where we get our Biblical Fall High Holy Day term.
These are the sacrifices from book of Numbers in chapters twenty eight and twenty nine that were required for The Yom Teruah Sacrifice: In a different format:

*This occurs every new moon when the visible crescent moon is sighted. There is no Daily Food Offering with the New Month Offering. Why? I don't have an answer to it at this time.
THE DAILY FIRE OFFERINGS
THE FIRE OFFERING
*Two perfect lambs, sons of a year- the first lamb in the morning and the second lamb between the mixing periods (evenings)
THE DONATION OFFERING (FOOD OFFERING, GRAIN OFFERING)
*1/10 of the Ephah of flour, mixed in 1/4 of a hin of oil beaten (similar to Leviticus 2:1-3 [Note: the adding of frankincense is not mentioned])
THE DRINK OFFERING
*1/4 of the hin [of wine], and in the Sacred (Holy) Sanctuary the priests pour the strong drink to hwhy
(*This is done without The Donation Offering (Food Offering, Grain Offering)
[THE SHABBATH OFFERING (Depending on the day and year)]
THE ELEVATION OFFERING (ASCENSION OFFERING, BURNT OFFERING)

THE FIRE OFFERING: THE DAILY CONTINUAL ELEVATION OFFERING (ASCENSION OFFERING, BURNT OFFERING)
*Without The Donation Offering (Food Offering, Grain Offering)
*Practically, it is close to a double Fire Offering. The Daily Fire Offering in this case did not include The Food Offering. Maybe it is יהוה's mercy on them, because it is the Shabbath, and there was already a Food (Grain) Offering. I'm guessing the other Drink Offering is the same requirement as the one for The Daily Fire Offering.
יהוה also wants us to sacrifice our desire to work on the seventh day by resting on the Shabbath and have fellowship with Him.
This High Holy Day sacrifice included The New Month Offering, because Yom Teruah occured on the new moon. I do not know why it did not include a drink offerings for Yom Teruah, but allowing it for The Daily Fire Offering. Maybe it's the fact that it was a Solemn Assembly, and יהוה didn't want the Priest to get too much of the Drink Offerings, if you get my drift.
This High Holy Day sacrifice included The Beginning of Months Sacrifices, because Yom Teruah occurred on the new moon. Also based on Numbers 10:10, the Israelites were to blow the trumpets during the sacrifices on Yom Teruah.
None of the scriptures in the Torah called Yom Teruah a feast, but a solemn day.
This account by our founding father was a precursor to the fall feasts, which is noted in the book of Genesis
Genesis 24:1-14
Gen 24:1 And Abraham was old, going in the days: and יהוה had blessed את-Abraham in allness. 2 And Abraham said to his servant, the elder of his house, that ruled in all which belonged to him, Put now your hand under my testicles: 3 And I will have you swear in יהוה, Elohim of the Heavens and Elohim of the Earth which you will not take a woman (wife) to my son from the daughters of the Canaanites which I dwell in his nearness: 4 For you will go to my land, and to my birthing (kindred), and you will take a woman (wife) for my son, for Isaac. 5 And the servant said to him, Perhaps the woman, she will not be willing to go after me to this land: returning [(that returning?)], I shall return את-your son to the land which you came out from there? 6 And Abraham said to him, Guard (Watch, Observe, Take heed) for yourself lest you return את-my son there. 7 יהוה, Elohim of the Heavens, which took me from the house of my father, and from the land of my birth (kindred), and the which spoke to me, and the which swore to me, to say, I will give את-this land to your seed; He shall send His Messenger to your face, and you shall take a woman (wife) for my son from there. 8 And the woman, if she shall not be willing to go after you, and you shall be innocent (clear, guiltless) from this my oath: only do you not return את-my son there. 9 And the servant put את-his hand under the testacles of Abraham, his lord, and swore to him upon this word.
10 And the servant took ten camels from the camels of his lord (master), and left; and all the goods of his master were in his hand: and arose, and went to Aram Naharaim, to the city of Nahor. 11 And the camels knelt down outside of the city by a bored-well of the water, by the time of the mixing period (evening), by the time of the going out of the drawing. 12 And said, יהוה, Elohim of my lord (master), Abraham, cause to meet now towards the facing of today (the day), and do kindness with my lord (master), Abraham. 13 Behold, I am standing upon the eye-well of the water; and the daughters of the men of the city are coming out to draw water: 14 And shall be, the young woman whom I shall say to her, Let down now your pitcher, and I may drink her; and say of her, Drink, and also I will water your camels: her, you have designed for your servant, Isaac; and in her shall I know that you have done kindness unto my lord (master).
Abrhaham "called" or "shouted" to his servant, who is commonly known by the majority as Eliezer, to get a bride for Isaac. When Eliezer arrived, he "called" to יהוה to provide a bride for Isaac. One can say, there was a call "on earth as in the heavens" for a bride for Isaac. These events in this chapter were the precursors of "Yom Teruah".
THE WRITING ACCOUNTS
David also made note to blow the shofar on these appointed times, which is noted in the book of the Psalms
Psalms 81:3-4
Psa 81:3 Blow the shofar in the new moon, in the fullness (full moon), of the day of our feast. 4 For he is a Statute for Israel, an ordinance of the Elohim of Jacob.
David was including the blowing of shofar during the new moon which would include the seventh new moon on the Biblical High Holy Day of "Yom Teruah".
Indirectly related, King Saul became David's enemy. He had a feast during the new moons. It is not mentioned what month it occurred, but it is an interesting new month account. It occurred on the first, second and third days of the month, which is noted in the book of the prophet Samuel
1 Samuel 20:18-42
1Sa 20:18 Then Jonathan said to David, To morrow is the new moon: and thou shalt be missed, because thy seat will be empty. 19 And when thou hast stayed three days, then thou shalt go down quickly, and come to the place where thou didst hide thyself when the business was in hand, and shalt remain by the stone Ezel. 20 And I will shoot three arrows on the side thereof, as though I shot at a mark. 21 And, behold, I will send a lad, saying, Go, find out the arrows. If I expressly say unto את-the lad, Behold, את-the arrows are on this side of thee, take them; then come thou: for there is peace to thee, and no hurt; as יהוה liveth. 22 But if I say thus unto the young man, Behold, the arrows are beyond thee; go thy way: for יהוה hath sent thee away. 23 And as touching the matter which thou and I have spoken of, behold, יהוה be between thee and me for ever. 24 So David hid himself in the field: and when the new moon was come, the king sat him down to eat meat. 25 And the king sat upon his seat, as at other times, even upon a seat by the wall: and Jonathan arose, and Abner sat by Saul's side, and David's place was empty. 26 Nevertheless Saul spake not any thing that day: for he thought, Something hath befallen him, he is not clean; surely he is not clean. 27 And it came to pass on the morrow, which was the second day of the month, that David's place was empty: and Saul said unto Jonathan his son, Wherefore cometh not the son of Jesse to meat, neither yesterday, nor to day? 28 And Jonathan answered את-Saul, David earnestly asked leave of me to go to Bethlehem: 29 And he said, Let me go, I pray thee; for our family hath a sacrifice in the city; and my brother, he hath commanded me to be there: and now, if I have found favour in thine eyes, let me get away, I pray thee, and see my brethren. Therefore he cometh not unto the king's table. 30 Then Saul's anger was kindled against Jonathan, and he said unto him, Thou son of the perverse rebellious woman, do not I know that thou hast chosen the son of Jesse to thine own confusion, and unto the confusion of thy mother's nakedness? 31 For as long as the son of Jesse liveth upon the ground, thou shalt not be established, nor thy kingdom. Wherefore now send and fetch him unto me, for he shall surely die. 32 And Jonathan answered Saul his father, and said unto him, Wherefore shall he be slain? what hath he done? 33 And Saul cast a javelin at him to smite him: whereby Jonathan knew that it was determined of his father to slay David. 34 So Jonathan arose from the table in fierce anger, and did eat no meat the second day of the month: for he was grieved for David, because his father had done him shame. 35 And it came to pass in the morning, that Jonathan went out into the field at the time appointed with David, and a little lad with him. 36 And he said unto his lad, Run, find out now the arrows which I shoot. And as the lad ran, he shot an arrow beyond him. 37 And when the lad was come to the place of the arrow which Jonathan had shot, Jonathan cried after the lad, and said, Is not the arrow beyond thee? 38 And Jonathan cried after the lad, Make speed, haste, stay not. And Jonathan's lad gathered up the arrows, and came to his master. 39 But the lad knew not any thing: only Jonathan and David knew the matter. 40 And Jonathan gave his artillery unto his lad, and said unto him, Go, carry them to the city. 41 And as soon as the lad was gone, David arose out of a place toward the south, and fell on his face to the ground, and bowed himself three times: and they kissed one another, and wept one with another, until David exceeded. 42 And Jonathan said to David, Go in peace, forasmuch as we have sworn both of us in the name of יהוה, saying, יהוה be between me and thee, and between my seed and thy seed for ever. And he arose and departed: and Jonathan went into the city.
A question come to me, "Did this account occur on the seventh month, including the day of Yom Teruah"? In my opinion, it is possible. Why would יהוה make a big deal regarding the time of the new month? Unless, He is trying to say that this was a high holy day of Yom Teruah.
After the southern House of Judah's return from Babylonian captivity, for the first time, they rehearsed Yom Teruah in Jerusalem, which is noted in the books of Ezra and Nehemiah
Ezra 3:1-3, 6-7
Ezr 3:1 And when the seventh renewed month was come, and the sons of Israel were in the cities, the People gathered themselves together as one man to Jerusalem. 2 Then stood up Jeshua, son of Jozadak, and his brethren, the Priests, and Zerubbabel, son of Shealtiel, and his brethren, and builded the Altar of the Elohim of Israel, to elevate upon him the Elevation Offerings (Ascension Offerings, Burnt Offerings), as it is written in the Teaching (Torah) of Moses, the man of Elohim. 3 And they set the Altar upon his bases; for their fear was upon them because of the people of those lands: and they elevated upon him the Elevation Offerings (Ascension Offerings, Burnt Offerings) unto יהוה, the Elevation Offerings(Ascension Offerings, Burnt Offerings) for the breaking period (morning) and for the mixing period (evening)....6 From the first day of the seventh renewed month began they to elevate Elevation Offerings (Ascension Offerings, Burnt Offerings) unto יהוה. But the Foundation of the Temple of יהוה was not yet laid. 7 They gave money also unto the masons, and to the carpenters; and meat, and drink, and oil, unto them of Zidon, and to them of Tyre, to bring cedar trees from Lebanon to the sea of Joppa, according to the grant that they had of Cyrus, King of Persia.
Nehemiah 8:1-14
Neh 8:1 And all of the People gathered themselves together as one man into the street that was before the water gate; and they spake unto Ezra, the Scribe, to bring את-the Scroll of the Torah of Moses, which יהוה had commanded to את-Israel. 2 And Ezra, the Priest, brought the את-Torah before the Assembly, from men, and unto women, and all that could hear with understanding, in the one day of the seventh renewed month....3 And he read therein before the street that was before the water gate from the morning until midday, before the men and the women, and those that could understand; and the ears of all of the People were attentive unto the Scroll of the Torah. 4 And Ezra, the Scribe, stood upon a pulpit of wood, which they had made for the purpose; and beside him stood Mattithiah, and Shema, and Anaiah, and Urijah, and Hilkiah, and Maaseiah, on his right hand; and on his left hand, Pedaiah, and Mishael, and Malchiah, and Hashum, and Hashbadana, Zechariah, and Meshullam. 5 And Ezra opened the Scroll in the sight of all of the People; (for he was above all of the People;) and when he opened her, the whole stood up: 6 And Ezra blessed יהוה-את, the great Elohim. And all of the People answered, Amen, Amen, with lifting up their hands: and they bowed their heads, and worshipped יהוה with their faces to the ground. 7 Also Jeshua, and Bani, and Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodijah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Levites, caused the People to understand the Torah: and את-the People stood in their place. 8 So they read in the Scroll in the Teaching (Torah) of Elohim distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading. 9 And Nehemiah, which is the Tirshatha, and Ezra, the Priest, the Scribe, and the Levites that taught את-the People, said unto all of the People, This day is Sacred (Holy) unto יהוה, your Elohim; mourn not, nor weep. For all of the People wept, when they heard את-the Words of the Torah. 10 Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is Sacred (Holy) unto our Adon: neither be ye sorry; for the Joy of יהוה is your strength. 11 So the Levites stilled all of the People, saying, Hold your peace, for the day is Sacred (Holy); neither be ye grieved. 12 And all of the People went their way to eat, and to drink, and to send portions, and to make great mirth, because they had understood the Words that were declared unto them. 13 And on the second day were gathered together the chief of the fathers of all of the People, the Priests, and the Levites, unto Ezra, the Scribe, even to understand the Words of the Teaching (Torah).
On the day of Yom Teruah, it was the first time that the Torah was read since the Jews' return since their captivity from Babylon. Ezra, the Priest, said that the Jews could eat drink and be merry on Yom Teruah in verses ten through twelve of Nehemiah's passage.
There are those that say Yom Teruah could be celebrated for two days based on verses thirteen and fourteen. This is not the case. The second day was a regular day, because the leaders and the priests were looking at the scriptures. So Yom Teruah is still only one day.
THE BRITH KHADASHAH (THE NEW COVENANT)
This is the Brith Khadashah (the New Covenant) has a parable regarding the Ten Virgins, which is noted in the Gospel of Matthew
Matthew 25:1-6
Mat 25:1 Then shall the Kingdom of Heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. 2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: 4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. 6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
The cry or "shouting" of the bridegroom coming is a type and shadow of the Biblical Fall High Holy Day of Yom Teruah warning the believers that Yeshua is coming for us. You can find it in my teaching "The Parable of the Ten Virgins" by clicking on the link below to get to the webpage.
THE PARABLE OF THE TEN VIRGINS
There are sections from the apostle Paul relating the shofar in raising the dead and living in Messiah, which is noted in the apostle Paul's letters to the assembly in Corinth and in Thessalonica
1 Corinthians 15:51-58
1Co 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the Torah. 57 But thanks be to יהוה, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Yeshua Messiah. 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in יהוה.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
1Th 4:13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Yeshua died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Yeshua will hwhy bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the Word of the Lord that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of hwhy shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord, Himself, shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the Trump of hwhy: and the dead in Messiah shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet יהוה in the air: and so shall we ever be with יהוה 18. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
It is probable that this account could occur on the High Holy Day of Yom Teruah in which we as believers in Yeshua will be snatched up in the air.
THE CONTROVERSY OF ROSH HASHANNAH
It has been well publicized that this day of the seventh month is the Biblical New Year, but there is a problem with that. There are connective concrete Biblical scriptural accounts that prove the Biblical New Year does "not" start on the Biblical seventh month of Ethanim/Tishri, but on the first Biblical month of Aviv/Nissan.
