There are 90 Aleph-Tavs in this week's Torah portion.

CHAPTER 30
Numbers 30:1-16
(30:2-17 in the Hebrew)

Num 30:1 And Moses spoke to the heads of the tribes of the Sons of Israel, to say, This is the Word which YHWH commanded. 2 When a man vows a vow to YHWH or has oathed an oath to bind (obligate) a bond (obligation) upon his soul; shall not dissolve (pollute, profane) his word; according to [(as)] all which came out from his mouth, shall do.

3 And when a woman vows a vow to YHWH, and binds (obligates) herself a bond (obligation) in the house of her father in her youth; 4 and her father has heard Aleph-Tav-her vow and her bond (obligation) which has bound (obligated) her upon her soul, and her father was silent (quiet, engraved) to her: and all of her vows, they shall be risen, and every bond (obligation) which her soul has bounded (obligated) of her shall be risen. 5 And if her father nullifies (neutralizes, disallows, dissuades) her in the day of his hearing; of any of her vows and her bonds (obligations) which has bound (obligated) her upon her soul shall not be risen: and YHWH shall forgive to her, for her father has nullified (neutralized, disallowed, dissuaded) her.

6 And if his being, she belongs to a man, and her vows are upon her, or an utterance (a rash utterance) is at her lips, which has bound (obligated) her upon her soul; 7 and her man has heard in the day of his hearing, and was silent (quiet, engraved) to her: and her vow, they shall be risen, and her bond which has bound (obligated, yoked) her upon her soul, they shall be risen. 8 And if in the day of her man hearing, shall nullify (neutralize, disallow, dissuade) her, and has violated (made void) Aleph-Tav-her vow which was upon her, and Aleph-Tav the utterance (rash utterance) of her lips which was bound (obligated) upon her soul: and YHWH shall forgive to her.

9 And a vow of a widow and of a divorced one, all which was bound (obligated) upon her soul, shall be risen upon her.

10 And if at the house of her man was vowed, or was bound (obligated) a bond (obligation) on an oath upon her soul; 11 And her man heard, and was silent (quiet, engraved) to her, not nullifying (neutralizing, disallowing, dissuading) her: and all of her vows, they shall be risen, and every bond (obligation) which was bound (obligated) upon her soul shall be risen. 12 And if that violating (making void), her husband shall violate (make void) them in the day of his hearing; anything going out (going forth) of her lips to her vows and to the bond (obligation) of her soul shall not rise: her man violated (made void) them; and YHWH shall forgive to her. 13 Every vow, and every oath, a bond (obligation) to humble (afflict) a soul, her man shall let him rise, and her man shall violate (make void) him. 14 And if the silencing (quieting, engraving), her man shall be silent (quiet, engraved) to her from day to day; and shall be risen Aleph-Tav-all of her vows, or Aleph-Tav-all of her bonds (obligations), which are upon her: shall be risen them, for was silent (quiet, engraved) to her in the day of his hearing. 15 And if that violating (making void), shall violate (make void) them after his hearing; and shall bear Aleph-Tav-her iniquity. 16 These are the Statutes, which YHWH commanded Aleph-Tav-Moses between a man to his woman (wife), between a father to his daughter in her youth, at the house of her father.

(NOTE: Not all verses will have comments)

There is a reason I used the primary translation of "rise", or "risen".

Looking at the word RISE

The Hebrew word for rise is "koom"- Kuph, Vav, Mem Sophit (Mwq). It is from Strong's Concordance number 6965, and its definition

A primitive root; to rise (in various applications, literally, figuratively, intensively and causatively): - abide, accomplish, X be clearer, confirm, continue, decree, X be dim, endure, X enemy, enjoin, get up, make good, help, hold, (help to) lift up (again), make, X but newly, ordain, perform, pitch, raise (up), rear (up), remain, (a-) rise (up) (again, against), rouse up, set (up), (e-) stablish, (make to) stand (up), stir up, strengthen, succeed, (as-, make) sure (-ly), (be) up (-hold, -rising).

In relation to the vows, and bonds, and oaths, the reason for the main translation of risen, because it is the general meaning from this Hebrew word. Also, the reason of this translation to rise, because in my opinion, it has the same effect as our prayers, as our prayers are commonly known to be "risen" to YHWH in the heavens. An example of this is noted in the book of the Acts

Acts 10:4 And when he looked on Him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a Memorial before hwhy.

This is the same idea for vows and oaths, which they are also risen to the heavens where YHWH sits on His Throne to hear them. Thus the "Heavens-Earth" connection.

An example of this is from one of our founding fathers, Jacob, who was the first in the Torah to make a vow, which is noted in the Torah portion of Vay-Yeytsey, in the book of Genesis

Genesis 28:20 And Jacob vowed a vow, to say, If Elohim shall be with me, and shall guard (keep, observe, heed) me in this way which I am walking, and will give to me bread to eat, and garment to clothe, 21 and I return to the house of my father in peace; and YHWH shall be to me for Elohim: 22 And this stone which I have set of a pillar shall be the House of Elohim: and of all which You shall give to me, I will tithe a tenth to You.

Indirectly related, King Solomon noted regarding vows based on this week's Torah portion, which is noted in his book of Ecclesiastes

Ecclesiastes 5:4 When thou vowest a vow unto Elohim, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that Aleph-Tav-which thou hast vowed. 5  Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay.

Yeshua related this week's Torah portion chapter of swearing oaths, which is noted in the Gospel of Matthew:

Matthew 5:33 Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto YHWH thine oaths: 34 But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by the heavens; for it is YHWH's Throne: 35 Nor by the Earth; for it is His Footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the City of the Great King. 36 Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black. 37 But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.

It was also probable that Yeshua used this week's Torah portion chapter to His Teaching.

Looking at the word SILENT (QUIET, ENGRAVED)

The Hebrew word for silent (quiet, engraved) is "khah-rash"- Khet, Resh, Shin (srx). It is from Strong's Concordance number 2790, and its definition

A primitive root; to scratch, that is, (by implication) to engrave, plough; hence (from the use of tools) to fabricate (of any material); figuratively to devise (in a bad sense); hence (from the idea of secrecy) to be silent, to let alone; hence (by implication) to be deaf (as an accompaniment of dumbness): -    X altogether, cease, conceal, be deaf, devise, ear, graven, imagine, leave off speaking, hold peace, plow (-er, -man), be quiet, rest, practise secretly, keep silence, be silent, speak not a word, be still, hold tongue, worker.

Notice that it is the same Hebrew word translated as "engrave". This is the same Hebrew root word that is derived and used in applying making the stones on the High Priest's garments, which is noted in the Torah portion of T'tsavveh, in the book of Exodus

Exodus 28:9 And you shall take Aleph-Tav-two Onyx Stones, and you shall engrave (carve, sculpt) upon (over) them the names of the Sons of Israel: 10 Six with their names shall be upon the one Stone, and Aleph-Tav-the remaining six names shall be upon the second Stone according to their births. 11 Of a doing (work) of an engraver (craftsman, artificer) (srx S2796) of stone, like the engraving (carving, sculpting) of a signet (seal ring), you shall engrave (carve, sculpt) Aleph-Tav-the two Stones upon the names of the Sons of Israel: you shall do (make) them Enclosings of Broaches (Brocades, Ouches) of gold.

First of all, these following comments are not an act to be against women. I am just making an observation of the actions in our modern society.

These teachings can be applied to us today. Unfortunately there a lot of single women, who are not around their fathers, or their uncles for those who do not have fathers around, who made vows and oaths and bonds, especially in colleges and at work places, especially women who are bosses of a business. Married women who are working who make vows to their bosses, do not have their husbands at their sides. Hey, what about bosses, do they play the role of husband substitutes? I don't think so. The husband is the woman's covering, and the husband is the one to overrule the vow his wife made to her boss. Women do not have their fathers or their husbands present to give their options to override it or not, and the women have to maintain those vows, bonds and oaths until their fathers or husbands hear it.

Unfortunately, many women noted above do not tell their fathers, or uncles, or husbands of their vows, bonds, or oaths, or do not have the knowledge to them. I feel sorry for them. If they only knew these Torah Commandments today, and in my opinion, they would be and feel more secure in themselves and have more respect the men they are with, being more covered and protected in today's world's society.

I suggest for those who are fathers, uncles, and husbands, and for women who have fathers, uncles, or husbands, or even grandfathers, to sit at the dinner table, or in the living room, or where ever private, and discuss with the woman about any vows, bonds, or oaths that were made without your knowledge. Women, I suggest that you take time to talk with your father/uncle/husband/grandfather about any vows or oaths with their knowledge while it's still the same Biblical day. Whatever day is discussed, our Heavenly Father is merciful in this matter until the issue is discussed, even if it was twenty or thirty days ago or longer prior to the discussion. Until it is mentioned on the day the fathers and husbands hear them, in a way, the daughters and wives would be more protected, but the downside is that the wives and daughters are bound to what they said until it is discussed.

Indirectly related, Yeshua also said in the Gospels concerning the Tanakh, which is noted in the Gospel of Matthew

Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the Torah, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till the Heavens and the Earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the Torah, till all be fulfilled. 19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least Commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Yet, Yeshua said this regarding the heavens and the earth, which is noted in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke

Matthew 24:35; Mark 13:31; Luke 21:33 The Heavens and Earth shall pass away: but My Words shall not pass away.

The reason is that Yeshua is the Living Word, and He is His Own Vow, Bond and Oath. If His Words pass away, then Yeshua would have to pass away as well. That will not happen, because He lives and reigns forever. There was a clear example of hwhy/Yeshua giving an example of His Own Vow to Himself, which is noted in the Torah portion of Lekh, L'kha, in the book of Genesis

Genesis 15:7 And said to him, I am YHWH which brought you out from Ur of the Casdim, to give to you Aleph-Tav-this land to possess (occupy) her. 8 And said, Adonai YHWH, on what shall I know that I shall possess (occupy) her? 9 And said to him, Take for Me a female calf from three years, and a she goat from three years, and a ram from three years, and a turtledove, and a nestling. 10 And took for himself Aleph-Tav-all of these, and chopped (divided) them in the midst, and laid a man of his part by the meeting (encountering, opposite) of his neighbor: and Aleph-Tav-the birds were not chopped (divided). 11 And descended (came down) birds of prey upon the faintish carcases, and Abram dispersed them away. 12 And was at  the sun to go down, and a deep sleep (trance, stupor) fell upon Abram; and, behold, a fright (terror) of great darkness fell upon him. 13 And said to Abram, Knowing, you shall know for your seed shall be a sojourner (stranger) in a land not belonging to them, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years; 14 And also Aleph-Tav-the nation, which they shall serve will I judge: and after thus, shall they come out among a great substance (goods, property). 15 And you, you shall go to your fathers in peace; you shall be buried in good (well) satisfaction. 16 And the fourth generation, they shall return here: for the iniquity of the Amorites was not repaid (paid back, complete, whole) until now. 17 And was, the sun had gone down, and was dusk (twilight), and behold, a smoking fire pot (furnace) and a fiery torch which went over between those pieces (parts). 18 In that day hwhy cut Aleph-Tav-Abram a Covenant, to say, To your seed I have given Aleph-Tav-this land from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates: 19 Aleph-Tav-the Kenites, and Aleph-Tav-the Kenizzites, and Aleph-Tav the Kadmonites, 20 And Aleph-Tav-the Hittites, and Aleph-Tav-the Perizzites, and Aleph-Tav-the Rephaim, 21 And Aleph-Tav-the Amorites, and Aleph-Tav-the Canaanites, and Aleph-Tav-the Girgashites, and Aleph-Tav-the Jebusites.

YHWH fulfilled this in the book of Joshua.

Blessed are the women who have fathers and husbands that can protect them. Men do not have that privilege. "BUT" there is one factor that we as believers do have, and no pun intended, it is a "Kingdom Trump Card". Aren't all of us believers the "Bride of Messiah", and our souls, which are "female" submitted to our Heavenly Father? We as believers have the Heavenly Father as our Kingdom Trump Card to nullify any of our vows, whether we are His sons or daughters, the He sees is not profitable for us. In other words, because we are His "spiritual virgins" in the Messiah, we are under our Heavenly Father's covering to override our vows.

K'VOD L'KHA YHWH!!!

CHAPTER 31
Numbers 31:1-54

Num 31:1 And YHWH spoke to Moses, to say, 2 Avenge vengeance the Sons of Israel from Aleph-Tav the Midianim: afterward, you shall be gathered to your People. 3 And Moses spoke to the People, to say, Equip from with yourselves men for the army, and they shall be upon Midian to give the Vengeance of YHWH against Midian, 4 a thousand to the tribe, a thousand to the tribe, for all of the tribes of Israel, you shall send to the army. 5 And they committed (set apart, delivered) from the thousands of Israel, a thousand to a tribe, two ten (twoteen, twelve) thousand equipped ones at (of) the army. 6 And Moses sent them, a thousand to the tribe, to the army, them, and Aleph-Tav-Phinehas, son of Eleazar, the Priest, to the army, and the Sacred (Holy) Vessels, and the Trumpets at the sounding (blowing) were in his hand. 7 And they battled (campaigned) upon Midian, as the which YHWH commanded Aleph-Tav-Moses; and they killed every remembered one (male), 8 and they killed Aleph-Tav-the kings of Midian, upon their slain; Aleph-Tav-Evi, and Aleph-Tav-Rekem, and Aleph-Tav-Zur, and Aleph-Tav-Hur, and Aleph-Tav-Reba, five kings of Midian: and Aleph-Tav Balaam, son of Beor, they killed on the sword.

9 And the Sons of Israel, they took captive all of Aleph-Tav-the women (females) of Midian, and Aleph-Tav-their little ones, and Aleph-Tav all of their animals, and Aleph-Tav all of their livestock, and Aleph-Tav-all of their wealth (substance, valor, force?), and they plundered. 10 And Aleph-Tav all of their cities among their dwellings (habitations), and they burned up Aleph-Tav all of their towered walls (hamlets) in the fire, 11 and they took Aleph-Tav-all of the spoil, and Aleph-Tav all of the booty, among the Adam and among the animals. 12 And they came (were brought) to Moses and to Eleazar, the Priest, and to the Congregation of the Sons of Israel, Aleph-Tav-the captives, and Aleph-Tav-the booty, and Aleph-Tav-the spoil, to the Camp, to the going overs (plains) of Moab, which are upon Jordan at Jericho [(Jordan-Jericho)].

13 And Moses, and Eleazar, the Priest, and all of the Rulers of the Congregation, they went out to encounter (meet) them to from outside by the Camp, 14 and Moses was wroth upon (over) the Overseers of the Force, of the Princes of the Thousands, and the Princes of the Hundreds, that came from the army at the war. 15 And Moses said to them, Have you kept alive all of the perforated ones (punctured ones, pierced ones, females)? 16 Behold, they were these to the Sons of Israel in the word of Balaam to commit (set apart, deliver) transgression against YHWH upon the word of Peor, and the plague (infliction), she was on the Congregation of YHWH. 17 And now, kill every (remembered one (male) among the little ones, and kill every female known to a man by laying a remembered one (male), 18 and all of the little ones among the females which they have not known from laying a remembered one (male), keep alive for yourselves. 19 And you shall encamp from outside by the Camp seven days: of anyone that had killed a soul, and of anyone that touched on a slain one, you shall purify on the third day, and on the seventh day, you and your captives, 20 and you shall purify every garment, and every vessel of skin, and every doing (work) of kids, and every vessel of trees (wood).

21 And Eleazar, the Priest, said to the men of the army that went to the war, This is the Statute of the Teaching (Torah) which YHWH commanded Aleph-Tav-Moses; 22 Only (Surely, Verily, Howbeit, Limiting) Aleph-Tav-the gold, and Aleph-Tav-the silver, Aleph-Tav-the copper, Aleph-Tav-the iron, Aleph-Tav-the tin, and Aleph-Tav-the lead, 23 every word which shall go in the fire, you shall make go over in the fire, and shall be clean: only (surely, verily, howbeit, limiting) shall be purified in the Water of Impurity: and everything which shall not go in the fire, you shall have go over in the water, 24 and you shall wash your garments on the seventh day, and you shall be clean, and afterwards, you shall come to the Camp.

25 And YHWH spoke to Moses, to say, 26 Lift up (bear) Aleph-Tav the heads of the booty of the captives, among the Adam, and among the animals, you, and Eleazar, the Priest, and the heads of the fathers of the Congregation: 27 And you shall halve Aleph-Tav-the booty; between those handling the war, that gone out to the army, and between all of the Congregation: 28 and you shall raise a Tribute (Tribute Offering, an Assessment, an Assessment Offering) to YHWH from Aleph-Tav the men of the war that went out to the army: one soul from five hundred, from the Adam, and from the herd, and from the donkeys, and from the flock: 29 You shall take from their half, and you shall give to Eleazar, the Priest, of a Heave Offering (Raise Offering) of YHWH. 30 And from the half of the Sons of Israel, you shall take one seize (hold) from the fifty, from the Adam, from the herd, from the donkeys, and from the flock, from all of the animals, and you shall give them to the Levites, observing (keeping, guarding) the Charge of the Tabernacle of YHWH. 31 And Moses and Eleazar, the Priest, did as the which YHWH commanded Aleph-Tav-Moses, 32 and was, the booty, the remainder (rest) of the plunder which the People of the army, they had plundered; of flock were six hundred thousand, and seventy thousand, and the five thousand, 33 and of herd were two and seventy thousand, 34 and of the donkeys were one and sixty thousand, 35 and of the souls of Adam, from the women which they have not known laying a remembered one (male), all of the souls were two and thirty thousand.

36 And she was the half of the portion of the ones gone out in the army: the enrollment (scroll, number) of the flock were three hundred thousand, and thirty thousand, and seven thousand, and the five hundred: 37 and the Tribute (Tribute Offering, an Assessment, an Assessment Offering) to YHWH from the flock, she was six hundred, five and seventy. 38 And of the herd were six and thirty thousand; and their Tribute (Tribute Offering, an Assessment, an Assessment Offering) to YHWH was two and seventy, 39 and of the donkeys were thirty thousand, and the five hundred; and their Tribute (Tribute Offering, an Assessment, an Assessment Offering) to YHWH was one and sixty, 40 and of the souls of Adam were six ten (sixteen) thousand; and their Tribute (Tribute Offering, an Assessment, an Assessment Offering) to YHWH was two and thirty souls. 41 And Moses gave Aleph-Tav-the Tribute (Tribute Offering, an Assessment, an Assessment Offering) of the Heave Offering (Raise Offering) of YHWH, to Eleazar, the Priest, as the which YHWH commanded Aleph-Tav-Moses.

42 And from the half of the Sons of Israel which Moses halved from the men that battled, 43 and she was the half of the Congregation, from the flock were three hundred thousand, and thirty thousand, seven thousand, and the five hundred, 44 and of the herd were six and thirty thousand, 45 and of the donkeys were thirty thousand and the five hundred, 46 and of the souls of Adam were six ten (sixteen) thousand; 47 and Moses took from the half of the Sons of Israel Aleph-Tav-the one seize (hold) from the fifty, from the Adam, and from the animal, and gave them to the Levites observing (keeping, guarding) the Charge of the Tabernacle of YHWH; as the which YHWH commanded Aleph-Tav-Moses.

48 And the Overseers which were of the thousands of the army, Princes of the Thousands, and Princes of the Hundreds, they drew near to Moses: 49 and they said to Moses, Your servants, they have lifted up (bore) Aleph-Tav-the heads of the men of the war which were in our hand, and a man was not overseen from us, 50 and we brought near Aleph-Tav-a Karban Offering (Drawing Near Offering, Gift Offering) of YHWH, a man which had found (attained) vessels of gold: ankle chains (step chains), and arm clasps (bracelets, joined clasps), rings (signet rings, seal rings), round rings (earrings), and beads (jewelry, tablets) to atone upon our souls to the Face of YHWH. 51 And Moses and Eleazar, the Priest, took Aleph-Tav-the gold from with them, all vessels of doing (work), 52 and all of the gold of the Heave Offering (Raise Offering) which they heaved (raised) to YHWH were six ten (sixteen) thousand, seven hundred, and the fifty shekels from Aleph-Tav the Princes of the Thousands, and from Aleph-Tav Princes of the Hundreds, 53 men of the army, they plundered, a man for himself. 54 And Moses and Eleazar, the Priest, took Aleph-Tav-the gold from Aleph-Tav Princes of the Thousands and the Hundreds, and they brought him to the Tent of Appointment of a Memorial (Remembrance) for the Sons of Israel to the Face of YHWH.

(NOTE: Not all verses will have comments)

Verses one through six

1 And YHWH spoke to Moses, to say, 2 Avenge vengeance the Sons of Israel from Aleph-Tav the Midianim: afterward, you shall be gathered to your People.

I heard from some that said Phinehas fought with the Isralites in battle. No, he did not. He was in charge of the Holy Vessels and the Trumpets. If Phinehas did fight, he would have defiled himself, and by that would defile the Holy Vessels at minimum. Also, this was not the only time that the High Priest stayed home while the son, or sons, of the High Priest went out with the Holy Vessels, when in the book of 1st Samuel, the Israelites went out to fight the Philistines. Eli, the High Priest, stayed at home while his two sons, Hophni, and the other named, ironically, Phinehas, went out with the Ark of the Covenant to the battle. In this case, the problem was that both sons were defiled and rebellious against hwhy, and the People looked to the Ark to deliver them from the Philistines instead of looking to hwhy to be their Deliverer. Because of these reasons, they were defeated, and resulted of Eli and his sons' deaths.

Looking at the word TRUMPETS

The Hebrew word for trumpets is "khah-tsoh-tsrah"- Khet, Tsade, Tsade, Resh, Heh (hruux). It is from Strong's Concordance number 2689, and its definition

By reduplication from H2690; a trumpet (from its sundered or quavering note): - trumpet (-er).

from 2690 "khah-tsahr", "khah-tsoh-tseyr", "khah-tsoh-reyr" (rux, ruux, rrux), and its definition

A primitive root; properly to surround with a stockade, and thus separate from the open country; but used only in the reduplicated form (the second and third forms; to trumpet, that is, blow on that instrument): - blow, sound, trumpeter.

These are the two silver trumpets that Phinehas carried, which are noted in the Torah portion of B'ha-alothkha, in the book of Numbers

Numbers 10:1 And YHWH spoke to Moses, to say, 2 Do (Make) for yourself two trumpets of silver; you shall do (make) them beaten (hammered): and they shall be to you for the Calling (Convocation) of the Congregation, and for journeying (departing, moving, pulling up) Aleph-Tav-the Camps. 3 And they shall takah-blow on them, and all of the Congregation, they shall be appointed to you to the Entrance of the Tent of Appointment. 4 And if they takah-blow on one, and the rulers of the Heads of the Thousands of Israel, they shall be appointed to you. 5 And at your takah-blowing of a teruah-signal (teruah-sound), and they shall pull up (journey) the Camps that enamps at the east. 6 And at your blowing of a second teruah-signal (teruah-sound), and they shall pull up (journey) the Camps that are encamped at the right (south): they shall takah-blow a teruah-signal (teruah-sound) for their journeying (departing, moving, pulling up). 7 And in the assembling of Aleph-Tav-the Assembly, you shall takah-blow, and not teruah-signal (teruah-sound). 8 And the sons of Aaron, the Priests, they shall takah-blow on the trumpets; and they shall be to you for a Statute of Ages for your generations.

Phinehas was in charge of having the Silver Trumpets blown for each of the camps, 12,000 men per camp, in this battle.

Verses seven and eight

7 And they battled (campaigned) upon Midian, as the which YHWH commanded Aleph-Tav-Moses; and they killed every remembered one (male), 8 and they killed Aleph-Tav-the kings of Midian, upon their slain; Aleph-Tav-Evi, and Aleph-Tav-Rekem, and Aleph-Tav-Zur, and Aleph-Tav-Hur, and Aleph-Tav-Reba, five kings of Midian: and Aleph-Tav Balaam, son of Beor, they killed on the sword.

Looking at the following names of the kings and their definitions (Note: Strong's Concordance numbers are noted by an "S"):

Evi (In Hebrew "Eh-vee" (ywa) S189): Long, lust, desirous, covet
Rekem (In Hebrew "Reh-kehm" (Mqr) S7552): Versicolor, fabricate
Zur (In Hebrew "Tsoor" (rwu) S6698): Rock, cliff
Hur (In Hebrew "Khoor" (rwx) S2354): Blanch, wax pale, white, crevice, cell, bore, hole
Reba (In Hebrew "Reh-vah" (ebr) S7254): Long, lust, desirous, covet

Putting the definitions of their names together, it makes a phrase:

"One who is desirous, who will fabricate the rock, is white who became a longing"

This is HaSatan fabricating "the Rock", who is Yeshua, the Messiah, and HaSatan will be in white, and be longed by the people of the world. An example of this is noted by the apostle Paul, in his letter to the assembly in Corinth

2 Corinthians 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

Verses thirteen through twenty

This is the Torah regarding those touching a dead human, which is noted in the Torah portion of Khukath, in the book of Numbers

Numbers 19:11 The one touching on the dead to any soul of (to) an Adam, and shall be unclean seven days. 12 He shall purify on himself on the third day, and shall be clean on the seventh day: and if shall not purify on the third day and on the seventh day, shall not be clean. 13 Anyone that touches on the dead on a soul of the Adam which shall die, and shall not purify, shall make unclean [(shall defile)] Aleph-Tav-the Tabernacle of YHWH; and that soul, she shall be cut off from Israel: for the Water of Impurity was not strewed (sprinkled) upon him, shall still be unclean; his uncleanness is on him.

They were to be cleansed with the hyssop by the Purge Offering from the Water of Nidah, from the burning of the red heifer, the scarlet thread, the cedar tree and the hyssop, which is noted in the Torah portion of Khukath, in the book of Numbers

Numbers 19:1 And YHWH spoke to Moses and to Aaron, to say, 2 This is the Statute of the Teaching (Torah) which YHWH commanded, to say: Speak to the Sons of Israel, and they shall take to you a perfect red heifer, which has not a blemish in her, which a yoke has not been elevated (ascended) upon her. 3 And you shall give her to Eleazar, the Priest, and bring her out to from outside by the Camp, and shall slaughter her to His Face. 4 And Eleazar, the Priest, shall take from her blood on his finger, and spurt (besprinkle, sprinkle) of her blood to the front [(of her blood opposite)] of the face of the Tent of Appointment seven times. 5 And shall burn up Aleph-Tav-the heifer to His Eyes; Aleph-Tav-her skin, and Aleph-Tav-her flesh, and Aleph-Tav-her blood, upon her dung, shall be burned up. 6 And the Priest shall take cedar tree (wood), and hyssop, and the crimson (red) worm [(worm of the crimson (red))], and shall cast (send, throw) to the midst of the burning up of the heifer. 7 And the Priest shall wash his Garments and shall bathe his flesh in the water, and afterward shall come to the Camp, and the Priest shall be unclean until the mixing period (evening).

Indirectly related, Yeshua noted of one form of dealing with the dead, which is noted in the Gospel of Matthew

Matthew 8:21 And another of His disciples said unto Him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. 22 But Yeshua said unto him, Follow Me; and let the dead bury their dead.

In other words, Yeshua did not want future disciples to deal with people who are dead (physically and spiritually). He knew that in the future that the Temple would be destroyed, and the Water of Impurity would not be effective.

Verses twenty-one through twenty four

Those items that the men of war brought to the Camp that were not metals that cannot be cleansed through the fire have to go through the water, like wood. Also, though not mentioned, but understood, they have to go through the Water of Nidah. These had to be done while the men were still in their unclean state until the third and seventh days when they purify themselves, and they themselves were purified by the Water of Nidah, and could return to their camps in the Camp. The reason they cleansed these materials, because, spiritually speaking, any demonic spirits from Midian on these items would be "removed" from the items through these process.

Also, in verse twenty three of this week's Torah portion passage, the translation "word" is commonly translated as "thing". But to me it should be translated as "word", because when these items are being purified, they are being purified from any word that is not form YHWH as well as being purified from anything ungodly.

K'VOD L'KHA YHWH!!!

The fire and water are symbols of the Ruakh HaKodesh (the Holy Spirit, and He purges us with fire and water so that we will be purified before our Heavenly Father in Yeshua, the Messiah.

There have been many accounts of items that have been possessed. An example of this is from one popular evangelist whose wife was given a book. Innocent as it was, her husband discerned that it was possessed with evil spirits, and told his wife to take the book out of the house immediately. HaSatan can use materials that look good to us, but we are not to take them because of those evil spirits.

Verses twenty five through thirty-five

They divided the spoils into two parts: One part for those who were in the battle and one part for the rest of Israel. Each of the half of their portions were to take out one out of every five hundred (1/500) animals and virgins out for the Levites, because they are taking care of the Tabernacle.

These were the total of animals and humans that were taken from the battle:

Sheep: 675,000
Cattle: 72,000
Donkeys: 61,000
Virgins (adam): 32,000

Verses thirty six through forty seven

This is a chart on how the spoil was divided

Indirectly related, there is another account about spoils. David, before he was king, had to deal with a post battle spoil dispute after David and his men fought against the Amalekites, which is noted in the book of Samuel

1 Samuel 30:16 And when he had brought him down, behold, they were spread abroad upon all the earth, eating and drinking, and dancing, because of all the great spoil that they had taken out of the land of the Philistines, and out of the land of Judah. 17 And David smote them from the twilight even unto the mixing period (evening) of the next day: and there escaped not a man of them, save four hundred young men, which rode upon camels, and fled. 18 And David recovered Aleph-Tav-all that the Amalekites had carried away: and David rescued Aleph-Tav-his two wives. 19 And there was nothing lacking to them, neither small nor great, neither sons nor daughters, neither spoil, nor any thing that they had taken to them: David recovered all. 20 And David took Aleph-Tav-all the flocks and the herds, which they drave before those other cattle, and said, This is David's spoil. 21 And David came to the two hundred men, which were so faint that they could not follow David, whom they had made also to abide at the brook Besor: and they went forth to meet David, and to meet the People that were with him: and when David came near to Aleph-Tav-the People, he saluted them. 22 Then answered all the wicked men and men of Belial, of those that went with David, and said, Because they went not with us, we will not give them ought of the spoil that we have recovered, save to every man Aleph-Tav-his wife and Aleph-Tav-his sons, that they may lead them away, and depart. 23 Then said David, Ye shall not do so, my brethren, with Aleph-Tav that which hwhy hath given us, who hath preserved us, and delivered Aleph-Tav-the company that came against us into our hand. 24 For who will hearken unto you in this matter? But as his part is that goeth down to the battle, so shall his part be that tarrieth by the stuff: they shall part alike. 25 And it was so from that day forward, that he made it a statute and an ordinance for Israel unto this day.

This commandment made by David was similar to this week's Torah portion chapter. In David's case, he made this command, so that those who were armed for war, but stayed behind guarding the supplies, would obtain spoils as well.

Verses forty eight and forty nine

48 And the Overseers which were of the thousands of the army, Princes of the Thousands, and Princes of the Hundreds, they drew near to Moses: 49 and they said to Moses, Your servants, they have lifted up (bore) Aleph-Tav-the heads of the men of the war which were in our hand, and a man was not overseen from us,

This battle is the only Biblical account in which all of the 12,000 men who were fighting man to man combat survived. Not one man died in it, and there was no other account like it throughout Bible history ever since.

There was a different kind of battle that was won without a loss of men, but it did not involve a man to man combat. It was Gideon and his 300 men in the book of Judges. All that they did was to put a torch in the clay vessels and then broke them, and they blew the shofars shouting "The Sword of YHWH and of Gideon!", and won the battle that way, with YHWH's help.

In another confrontation without men involved, but with YHWH invovled, was in the book of 2nd Kings when King Hezekiah, as he and the Southern House of Judah were in Jerusalem, prayed to YHWH to deliver them from the hand of the King of Assyria. YHWH had Isaiah, the Prophet, send a message to King Hezekiah that YHWH will deliver them from their hand. That night, a Messenger of YHWH came over the Assyrian camp and smote 185,000 men without one Israelite man involved.

There will be one more battle which will not contain one death for the believers. It is when Yeshua comes back to rule on the earth, and it is noted in the book of Revelation

Revelation 19:11 And I saw the heavens opened, and behold a white horse; and He that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in Righteousness He doth judge and make war. 12 His Eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His Head were many crowns; and He had a Name written, that no man knew, but He, Himself. 13 And He was clothed with a Vesture dipped in Blood: and His Name is called The Word of YHWH. 14 And the armies which were in the heavens followed Him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. 15 And out of His Mouth goeth a Sharp Sword, that with it He should smite the nations: and He shall rule them with a Rod of Iron: and He treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and Wrath of Almighty El. 16 And He hath on His Vesture and on His Thigh a Name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. 17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all of the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the Great Elohim; 18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great. 19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him that sat on the horse, and against His Army. 20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. 21 And the remnant were slain with the Sword of Him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of His Mouth: and all of the fowls were filled with their flesh.

Not one saint died in this battle.

Verse fifty

50 and we brought near Aleph-Tav-a Karban Offering (Drawing Near Offering, Gift Offering) of YHWH, a man which had found (attained) vessels of gold: ankle chains (step chains), and arm clasps (bracelets, joined clasps), rings (signet rings, seal rings), round rings (earrings), and beads (jewelry, tablets) to atone upon our souls to the Face of YHWH.

The Captains of Thousands and the Captains of Hundreds were thankful to YHWH for not losing one man, that they brought their Karban Offering to Him.

Looking at the word KARBAN OFFERING (DRAWING NEAR OFFERING, GIFT OFFERING)

The Hebrew word for Karban Offering (Drawing Near Offering, Gift Offering) is "kahr-bahn"- Kuph Resh, Bet, Nun Sophit (Nbrq). It is from Strong's Concordance number 7133, and its definition

From H7126; something brought near the altar, that is, a sacrificial present: - oblation, that is offered, offering

from 7126 "kah-rahv" (brq), and its definition

A primitive root; to approach (causatively bring near) for whatever purpose: - (cause to) approach, (cause to) bring (forth, near), (cause to) come (near, nigh), (cause to) draw near (nigh), go (near), be at hand, join, be near, offer, present, produce, make ready, stand, take.

This word is translated in various English versions as gift, oblation, or offering. It is a general gift offering, and Yeshua noted it in the Gospel of Mark

Mark 7:11 But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban [Karban Offering], that is to say, a gift, by whatsoeuer thou mightest be profited by Me: he shalbe free.

This is where we get our modern English word "carbon".

Looking at the following items mentioned in which all items are of gold in relation to their body parts:

ankle chains (step chains): ankles, relating to the feet
arm clasps (bracelets, joined clasps): arms
rings (signet rings, seal rings): fingers, relating to the hands
round rings (earrings): ears
beads (jewelry, tablets): chest, probably related to the heart

All five of these items in relation to the body parts all compare to the priests being prepared for the Priestship when the blood was applies to the lobe of their right ears, the thumb of their right hands and the big toe on their right feet, plus the heart which is relating following YHWH with all of their hearts.

Verses fifty-one through fifty four

They brought vessels of gold: chains, bracelets, rings, ear rings, and jewels to atone for their souls before YHWH. Moses and Eleazar, the Priest, weighed the gold, and it came to 16,750 shekels. There are various sources that have different weights to the shekel. Some have it over 9.5 grams while another source shows it as much as 17 grams. Let us say that one shekel equals 10 grams. One pound equals about 453.6 grams. Divide that by 10 grams and you get 45.36 shekels per one pound. Divide 45.36 shekels per pound, by 16,750 shekels and it comes to almost 370 pounds. That is a lot of weight in gold. It also says there was more spoil the army took for themselves besides the gold that was given to the Levites. How much of it was taken by them? We do not know, but multiply it by 12,000 men and you will get an idea.

CHAPTER 32
Numbers 32:1-42

Num 32:1 And were multiple (much) livestock to the sons of Reuben and to the sons of Gad, had boned up much: and they saw Aleph-Tav-the land of Jazer, and Aleph-Tav-the land of Gilead, and behold, the place was a place of livestock; 2 and the sons of Gad and the sons of Reuben, they came, and they said to Moses, and to Eleazar, the Priest, and to the Rulers of the Congregation, to say, 3 Ataroth, and Dibon, and Jazer, and Nimrah, and Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Shebam, and Nebo, and Beon, 4 the land which hwhy had struck to the face of the Congregation of Israel, she is a land of livestock, and to your servants is livestock: 5 And they said, If we have found grace (favor) in your eyes, shall be given Aleph-Tav-this land to your servants for a seizure (hold), you do not make us go over Aleph-Tav-the Jordan.

6 And Moses said to the sons of Gad, and to the sons of Reuben, That you our brothers [(The brothers of you)], shall they go to the war, and you, shall you dwell here? 7 And to why do you discourage (forbid, neutralize, disallow. dissuade) Aleph-Tav-the heart of the Sons of Israel from going over to the land which YHWH has given to them? 8 Thus your fathers, they did in my sending them from Kadesh-Barnea to see Aleph-Tav-the land, 9 and they ascended unto the torrent (valley) of Eshcol, and they saw Aleph-Tav-the land, and they discouraged (forbided, neutralized, disallowed, dissuaded) Aleph-Tav-the heart of the Sons of Israel for failing at entering to the land which YHWH had given to them. 10 And the Anger of YHWH glowed in that day, and swore, to say, 11 If the men that ascended from Egypt, from a son of twenty years and the ascending (upward), they shall see Aleph-Tav the Ground which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; for they were not fully following (after) Me: 12 failing (except) Caleb, son of Jephunneh, the Kenezite, and Joshua, son of Nun: for they were fully following (after) YHWH. 13 And the Anger of YHWH glowed against Israel, and wandered them in the wilderness forty years, until all of the generation that did the evil in the Eyes of YHWH was completed (deceased). 14 And behold, you have risen up instead of your fathers of an increase of sinful men to add still upon the Glowness (Fierceness) of YHWH to Israel, 15 for you would turn from following Him, and yet again [(yet add, yet augment)] at depositing (suffering) Him in the wilderness; and you shall cause ruin (waste, decay) to all of this People.

16 And they approached to him, and they said, We will build here inclosures (hedges) of flocks for our livestock, and cities for our little ones: 17 and we, we will equip (depart) hastily to the face of the Sons of Israel, until which but (if) we have brought them to their place: and our little ones shall dwell in the fortified (isolated, fenced, stronghold, restrained) cities from the face of the dwellers of the land. 18 We will not return to our houses, until the Sons of Israel has inherited a man his inheritance, 19 for we will not inherit with them with the going over by the Jordan, and the beyond; for our inheritance has come to us from going over the Jordan, rayrisingward.

20 And Moses said to them, If you will do Aleph-Tav-this word, if you will equip (depart) to the Face of YHWH for the war, 21 and all to you equip (depart) shall go over Aleph-Tav-the Jordan to the Face of YHWH, until Aleph-Tav-His enemies have been driven of him out from His Face, 22 and shall subdue (conquer) of her the land to the Face of YHWH: and afterward, you shall return, and you shall be guiltless (innocent) from YHWH, and from Israel; and this land, she shall be to yourselves for a seize (hold) to the Face of YHWH, 23 and if you will not do so, behold, you have sinned to YHWH: and your sins, they shall know, which she shall find you out. 24 Build for yourselves cities for your little ones, and inclosures (hedges) for your flocks; and you shall do that goes out from your mouth. 25 And the sons of Gad and the sons of Reuben said to Moses, to say, Your servants shall do as the which my lord (master) commands. 26 Our little ones, our wives, our livestock, and all of our animals, they shall be there in the cities of the Gilead: 27 and your servants, they shall go over, all equipped (departing) armed, to the Face of YHWH to the war, as the which my lord (master) spoke.

28 And Moses commanded to them Aleph-Tav Eleazar, the Priest, and Aleph-Tav Joshua, son of Nun, and Aleph-Tav-the Heads of the Fathers of the Tribes of the Sons of Israel: 29 And Moses said to them, If the sons of Gad and the sons of Reuben, they shall go over Aleph-Tav-the Jordan with you, all equipped (departing) for the war, to the Face of YHWH, and shall subdue (conquer) the land, to your faces; and you shall give to them Aleph-Tav-the land of the Gilead for the seize (hold): 30 and if they will not go over equipped (departing) with you, and they shall seize (hold) in your midst, in the land of Canaan. 31 And the sons of Gad and the sons of Reuben they answered, to say, Aleph-Tav-Which YHWH has spoken to your servants, so we will do. 32 We, we will go over the land of Canaan equipped (departing) to the Face of YHWH, and we shall have the seize (hold) of our inheritance from the going over by the Jordan. 33 And Moses gave to them, to the sons of Gad, and to the sons of Reuben, and to the half tribe of Manasseh, son of Joseph, Aleph-Tav-the kingdom of Sihon, King of the Amorites, and Aleph-Tav-the kingdom of Og, King of the Bashan, the land, by her cities in their borders, the cities of the land all around.

34 And the sons of Gad, they built Aleph-Tav-Dibon, and Aleph-Tav-Ataroth, and Aleph-Tav Aroer, 35 and Aleph-Tav-Atroth Shophan, and Aleph-Tav-Jaazer, and Jogbehah, 36 and Aleph-Tav-Beth Nimrah, and Aleph-Tav-Beth Haran, fortified (isolated, fenced, stronghold, restrained) cities: and inclosures (hedges) of flocks.

37 And the sons of Reuben, they built Aleph-Tav-Heshbon, and Aleph-Tav-Elealeh, and Aleph-Tav-Kirjathaim, 38 and Aleph-Tav-Nebo, and Aleph-Tav-Baal Meon, with the revolving (circuit, removal) of names, and Aleph-Tav-Shibmah: and they called on name Aleph-Tav-the names of the cities which they were built.

39 And the sons of Machir, son of Manasseh, they went to Gilead, and caught her, and dispossessed Aleph-Tav-the Amorites which were in her. 40 And Moses gave Aleph-Tav-the Gilead to Machir, son of Manasseh; and dwelled in her. 41 And Jair, son of Manasseh went and captured (caught) their living areas [(towns)], and called them Havoth-Jair. 42 And Nobah went and captured (caught) Aleph-Tav-Kenath, and Aleph-Tav-her daughter areas [(villages, suburbs)], and called to her Nobah, on his name.

(NOTE: Not all verses will have comments)

Verses one through five

1 And were multiple (much) livestock to the sons of Reuben and to the sons of Gad, had boned up much: and they saw Aleph-Tav-the land of Jazer, and Aleph-Tav-the land of Gilead, and behold, the place was a place of livestock; 2 and the sons of Gad and the sons of Reuben, they came, and they said to Moses, and to Eleazar, the Priest, and to the Rulers of the Congregation, to say, 3 Ataroth, and Dibon, and Jazer, and Nimrah, and Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Shebam, and Nebo, and Beon, 4 the land which hwhy had struck to the face of the Congregation of Israel, she is a land of livestock, and to your servants is livestock: 5 And they said, If we have found grace (favor) in your eyes, shall be given Aleph-Tav-this land to your servants for a seizure (hold), you do not make us go over Aleph-Tav-the Jordan.

Well, we come to another form of "Dumb and Dumber", a.k.a. the sons of Reuben and Gad. They came to Moses, Eleazar, the High Priest, and the leaders of another bad idea, at first. Another interesting thing about this Toraic account is that both of theses tribes were located at the southern Israelite Camp

It seems that the southern camp had the most problems during Israel's journey in the wilderness.

Providing another perspective regarding this issue, going back to point out a couple of certain previous major incidents during the Israelites' journey in the wilderness, starting with this account in the Torah portion of Korakh, in the book of Numbers, the tribes of the individuals who were involved in the Korah's Rebellion, were Korah, of the Levitical Kohathite People, and Dathan and Abiram of the tribe of Reuben, and most likely, the 250 men. This is a chart of the Camp showing their tribal locations

Another account is located in the Torah portions of Balak and Phinehas, in the book of Numbers, where the tribe of Simeon was the major and majority tribe that were involved with the Midianite women worshipping their pagan elohim. They were also of the southern Israelite camp. This is a chart of the Israelite Camp showing the tribe of Simeon's location

And of this week's Torah portion passage regarding Reuben and Gad wanting to stay on the east side of the Jordan and live there. This is a chart of the Israelite Camp revealing their tribal locations

Comparing all of these three accounts and their tribal locations of each of the peoples  shown above, they are all located on the SOUTHERN CAMP AREA. It does not make sense if one sees the English text of the word south. Looking at the text of the South Camp, which is noted in the Torah portion of B'midbar, in the book of Numbers

Numbers 2:1 And YHWH spoke to Moses and to Aaron, to say, 2 A man shall be upon his standard (banner, flag) among the signs of the house of their fathers, the Sons of Israel, they shall encamp (ptich): they shall encamp (pitch) from before [(from the front)] all around the Tent of Appointment....  10 The standard (banner, flag) of the Camp of Reuben shall be rightward (southward) by their armies: and the ruler of the sons of Reuben was Elizur, son of Shedeur. 11 And his army, and his visit (account, count) were six and forty thousand and the five hundred. 12 And of the ones encamped (pitched) upon him shall be the tribe of Simeon: and the ruler of the sons of Simeon was Shelumiel, son of Zurishaddai. 13 And his army, and their visit (account, count) were nine and the fifty thousand and three hundred. 14 And of the tribe of Gad: and the ruler of the sons of Gad was Eliasaph, son of Reuel. 15 And his army, and their visit (account, count) were five and forty thousand and six hundred and the fifty. 16 All that were visited (accounted, counted) of the Camp of Reuben were a hundred thousand and one and the fifty thousand and four hundred and the fifty, by their armies. And they shall pull up (journey) two (second?).

Also, looking at the Levitcal camp of the Kohathites, which is noted in the Torah portion of B'midbar, in the book of Numbers

Numbers 3:29 And of the tribe of Naphtali: and the ruler of the sons of Naphtali was Ahira, son of Enan. 30 And his army, and their visit (account, count) were three and the fifty thousand and four hundred. 31 All that were visited (accounted, counted) in the Camp of Dan were a hundred thousand and seven and the fifty thousand and six hundred. They shall pull up (journey) by the latter by their standards (banners, flags).

These were the tribes placed on the southern camp, and looking at the Hebrew, in the contextual perspective of the basis regarding the location the Tent of Appointment.

Looking at the word RIGHT (SOUTH)

The Hebrew word for right (south) is "tey-meen"- Tav, Yod, Mem, Nun Sophit (Nmyt). It is from Strong's Concordance number 8486, and its definition

Denominative from H3225; the south (as being on the right hand of a person facing the east): - south (side, -ward, wind).

from 3225 "yah-meen" (Nymy), and its definition

From H3231; the right hand or side (leg, eye) of a person or other object (as the stronger and more dexterous); locally, the south: -  + left-handed, right (hand, side), south.

from 3231 "yah-mahn" (Nmy), and its definiton

From H3231; the right hand or side (leg, eye) of a person or other object (as the stronger and more dexterous); locally, the south: -  + left-handed, right (hand, side), south.

If one compares to all these three accounts and the tribal locations of each of the Peoples above, they are all located on the right (south) camp area. It is clear, in the Hebraic perspective, that the location, from the basis of the context of the Tent of Appointment, is called the "right side", because the Entrance of the Tent of Appointment is located on the east side, or in Hebriac terms the "rising side". The purpose of bringing these issues out, is that these three Torah accounts regarding these certain tribes were the result of HaSatan attacking these peoples from the right (south) camp, or what is Hebraically called the "right hand" of the Tent of Appointment, by using these certain Peoples as vessels of HaSatan to rebel against YHWH. As Bill Cloud of Shoreshim Ministries and Jacob's Tent noted that the enemy cannot attack from the outside, but is attacking from "within" the Camp. In other words, in this case, HaSatan was attacking the "right hand" of the Camp, which is considered the "strong hand", because, Hebraically speaking, the right hand is the strong hand. HaSatan was trying to destroy the "strong hand" of the Camp in order to dramatically weaken the Camp. HaSatan was also trying to symbolically destroy "the future Son of the Right Hand", who is Yeshua, because Yeshua represents the Tent of Appointment manifested in the Flesh. This was HaSatan's way back then, to try to destroy the future coming of Yeshua, the Son of the Right Hand, because if HaSatan succeeded, the Israelites would have not gone into the promised land and would have died in the wilderness. HaSatan would have also prevented Yeshua, the Son of the Right Hand, to come to the earth in a future time and redeem all the tribes of Israel as well as the rest of the world. This is what Yeshua said, which is noted in the Gospel of John

Matthew 26:64 Yeshua saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of Man sitting on the Right Hand of Power, and coming in the clouds of the heavens.

Yeshua is what HaSatan tried to destroy from being our salvation, as well as our future King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

We as believers in the Messiah have "the Right Hand" in our lives, and dealing with HaSatan who continuously attacks the Right Hand in our hearts by attacking "within" us.

This is what the apostle Paul noted in his letter to the assembly in Ephesus

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole Armour of YHWH, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with Truth, and having on the Breastplate of Righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of Peace; 16 Above all, taking the Shield of Faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all of the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the Helmet of Salvation, and the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of YHWH: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

We are not dealing with fleshly matters spiriritual matters. What we as believers in Yeshua need to do is to pray against the spirit of Korah, and to break that spirit in Yeshua's Name, who is our Right Hand. We are also to test the spirits, which the apostle John noted in his epistle

1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of YHWH: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of YHWH: Every spirit that confesseth that Yeshua Messiah is come in the Flesh is of YHWH: 3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Yeshua Messiah is come in the Flesh is not of YHWH: and this is that spirit of Antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Relating back to this week's Torah portion passage, this was HaSatan's last opportunity to defeat YHWH's Purpose to destroy the future "Seed of the Woman" by making the sons of Reuben and Gad to stay on the east side of the Jordan to prevent the Israelites from succeeding to take over and dwell in the promised land.

Notice also that the sons of Simeon were not involved with their tribal brothers as they were in the time of Korah's Rebellion. Was it possible that the sons Reuben thought twice regarding the sons of Simeon when they considered this current idea? Reuben must have been smart enough not to have Simeon involved in this, because of their account with the Midianite women, but he was not smart enough in the bigger picture, at first. Or was is possible that the tribe of Simeon thought twice before getting involved with their fellow southern tribal camp brothers after their devestating loss of men after their fornication with the daughters of Moab? We don't know, but they cannot be ruled out of possibilities.

The sons of Reuben and Gad judged the land by sight, and made them lose discernment that they were to cross over the Jordan and inherit the promise land west of the Jordan, not east of it. This can be compared to during the time of Abraham when he and Lot had to separate, which is noted in the Torah portion of Lekh L'kha, in the book of Genesis

Genesis 13:8 and Abram said to Lot, Not now, she shall be no strife (contention) between me and between you, and between my shepherds (tenders) and between your shepherds (tenders); for we are men, brothers. 9 That not all of the land is to your face? Separate (Split) now from upon me: if the small (left), and I to the right; and if the right, and I to the small (left). 10 And Lot lifted up (beared) Aleph-Tav-his eyes, and saw Aleph-Tav-all the circumjacent region of the Jordan, for all of her was well watered (quaffed) to the facing of YHWH wasting (ruining) Aleph-Tav-Sodom and Aleph-Tav-Amorrah, as the Garden of YHWH, as the land of Egypt, at your coming to Zoar. 11 And Lot chose for himself Aleph-Tav all of the circumjacent region of the Jordan; and Lot pulled up (journeyed), with eastward: and they separated (split) a man from upon his brother.

Lot chose the land based by sight, instead of the promised land that was given to Abraham, which was YHWH's Timing for Lot to leave Abraham, by exposing the lush land. We as believers in the Messiah have to live by faith and not by sight, which the apostle Paul noted in his letter to the assembly in Corinth

2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight:

Throughout the Torah so far, the tribe of Reuben has been the major tribe for getting themselves into trouble. Reuben made bad decisions by joining with Korah against Moses, and Reuben himself offered his father, Jacob-Israel, to kill his two sons if he did not bring Benjamin and Simeon back from Egypt. On top of that, Reuben took his step mother, his father's wife, Bilhah, Rachel's handmaid, and went in unto her. As Forrest Gump said in the movie, "Stupid is as stupid does", and Moses scorned them in verses six through eighteen in this week's Torah portion passage that if they did this, that the whole nation would be destroyed.

Yair Davidiy, a Chasidic Rabbi from Jerusalem, originally from Australia, not a believer in Yeshua, but believes in the existence of Ten Nortern Tribes and studied their migrations, stated that Reuben has settled in France. Also in migration history, the ancient Gauls (in the Hebrew, "Galah"- Gimel, Lamed, Heh (hlg) meaning "exile") traveled in some western European areas, and one of them is the modern territory of France. I was in a world history class while in college. In one class meeting, we were studying the Hundred Years War between Britain and France. I have never forgotten what my history teacher told our class regarding France. He stated that the government of France was about one hundred years behind Britain's government, especially in finances and financial order. The clearest example of proof of that that was Britian's Domesday Book by William the Conqueror (King William I) in 1086 AD. It revolutionized the tax system for centuries, putting Britain ahead of France. This week's Torah portion passage also connects to France being "behind" Britain. Before Jacob-Israel died, he prophecised to Reuben, which is noted in the Torah portion of Va-Y'khi, in the book of Genesis

Genesis 49:3 Reuben, you are my firstborn, my power, and the first of my might, the excellency (superiority, remainder) of dignity (exaltation, lifting up), and the excellency (superiority, remainder) of strength (fierceness): 4 Bubbling (Froth) as water, you shall not excel (be superior, remain); for you ascended the bed (bed chamber) of your father; then ascending, you defiled (polluted, profaned) my bed couch.

Based on this information, France could definitely fit the description of Reuben.

Yair Davidiy has a couple of YouTube videos regarding Reuben being in France. Click on the images below to get to the webpages.

Clans of Reuben in France

Reuben and France

Reuben is France

Verses sixteen through nineteen

What the sons of Reuben and Gad did was they made a vow to Moses, and Moses told them they had to fulfill it. What they did is based on the Commandment by YHWH as noted earlier, in chapter thirty, regarding vows, oaths and bonds.

Numbers 30:2 When a man vows a vow to YHWH or has oathed an oath to bind (obligate) a bond (obligation) upon his soul; shall not dissolve (pollute, profane) his word; according to [(as)] all which came out from his mouth, shall do.

Then the sons of Reuben and Gad realized their ignorance and redeemed themselves by compromising without breaking YHWH's Commandment. Moses compromised many times to YHWH in the books of Exodus and Numbers by pleading to YHWH to repent of His previous decisions to destroy the entire Israelite nation. In my opinion, Moses saw in them what he, himself, did to YHWH through their offer to him.

Verses twenty through twenty three

26 Our little ones, our wives, our livestock, and all of our animals, they shall be there in the cities of the Gilead: 27 and your servants, they shall go over, all equipped (departing) armed, to the Face of YHWH to the war, as the which my lord (master) spoke..

In verse twenty three of this week's Torah portion passage, it says that their sin ...""she" shall find you out". Why does "she" relate to sin? Because sin is feminine, and it relates to our souls which are also feminine. We as believers in Messiah are called "the Bride of Messiah", because our souls are feminine. That is why we as believers are called the "Bride" of Messiah.

K'VOD L'KHA YHWH!!!

Also, notice that there are two times the word "you" is boldened in pink. In the Hebrew grammar text, both of the yous is noted in the feminine gender. This tells us that Moses was speaking to their souls, becuase the soul is feminine. What Moses was saying to them is that the results of their obedience or disobedience will affect their "souls".

K'VOD L'KHA YHWH!!!

Verses twenty four through twenty seven

24 Build for yourselves cities for your little ones, and inclosures (hedges) for your flocks; and you shall do that goes out from your mouth. 25 And the sons of Gad and the sons of Reuben said to Moses, to say, Your servants shall do as the which my lord (master) commands. 26 Our little ones, our wives, our livestock, and all of our animals, they shall be there in the cities of the Gilead: 27 and your servants, they shall go over, all equipped (departing) armed, to the Face of YHWH to the war, as the which my lord (master) spoke.

Mark Biltz of El Shaddai Ministries compared this week's Torah portion passage to what the sons of Reuben and Gad said in verse sixteen of this week's Torah portion chapter

16 And they approached to him, and they said, We will build here inclosures (hedges) of flocks for our livestock, and cities for our little ones:

What Mark noted was that in verse sixteen of this week's Torah portion passage the sons of Reuben and Gad noted their livestocks first, then their sons, which according to Mark, doesn't make sense. Mark said that Moses in many ways overrode them and reversed the order by stating the sons first, and then the livestock, and the sons of Reuben and Gad agreed to Moses' order and offer.

Thank you Mark, and thank you Abba Father for Moses.

K'VOD L'KHA YHWH!!!

Verse thirty three

33 And Moses gave to them, to the sons of Gad, and to the sons of Reuben, and to the half tribe of Manasseh, son of Joseph, Aleph-Tav-the kingdom of Sihon, King of the Amorites, and Aleph-Tav-the kingdom of Og, King of the Bashan, the land, by her cities in their borders, the cities of the land all around.

After all that the representatives of the two tribes suggested, Moses gave that part of the land east of the Jordan River to Reuben and Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh.... Manasseh?! Wait a minute! It was just Reuben and Gad "only". How did Manasseh get involved with this? They were not part of the conversation with Moses. The only possibility Moses included Manasseh, becuase Moses put half of tribe of Manasseh with the tribes of Reuben and Gad on purpose with this premise:

Looking at the word MANASSEH

The Hebrew word for Manasseh is "M'nah-sheh"- Mem, Nun, Shin, Heh (hsnm). It is from Strong's Concordance number 4519, and its definition

From H5382; causing to forget; Menashsheh, a grandson of jacob, also the tribe descendant from him, and its territory: - Manasseh.

from 5382 "nah-shah" (hsn), and its definition

A primitive root; to forget; figuratively, to neglect; causatively, to remit, remove: - forget, deprive, exact.

Moses included half of the tribe of Manasseh with the sons of Reuben and Gad on purpose as a symbolic act to them as a way of Moses reminding them "Do not "forget" this matter of your obligation to fight with Israel over the Jordan to inherit the land, and also, just because you are residing on this side of the Jordan and not on the side with the rest of your brothers, do not "forget" that you are also part of Israel".

In a way, as Bill Cloud of Shoreshim Ministries and Brad Scott of Wildbranch Ministry noted that "history repeats itself". In this case, Reuben, Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh in the end will get to settle on the east side of the Jordan, like Abraham's nephew, Lot, did in their day. Thank you, Bill and Brad.

Verses thirty nine and forty

39 And the sons of Machir, son of Manasseh, they went to Gilead, and caught her, and dispossessed Aleph-Tav-the Amorites which were in her. 40 And Moses gave Aleph-Tav-the Gilead to Machir, son of Manasseh; and dwelled in her.

Indirectly related, Laban caught up with Jacob at Mount Gilead, east of the Jordan River while Jacob was fleeing from Laban to return to Canaan. Laban and Jacob made a heap of witness to not cross over the marker for purpose to harm each other. Jacob called the heap "Gilead", meaning "Heap of Testimony". This was also a reminder to Israel not to "forget" the "oath" that Jacob and Laban made, which is noted in the Torah portion of Vay-Yeytsey, in the book of Genesis

Genesis 31:44 And come now, we will cut a covenant, me and you; and shall be for a witness (testimony) between me and between you. 45 And Jacob took a stone and erected her of a pillar (column). 46 And Jacob said to his brothers, Glean stones; And they took stones, and they did (made) a heap: and they ate there upon the heap. 47 And Laban called to him Jegar Sahadutha: and Jacob called to him Galeed. 48 And Laban said, This heap is a witness (testimony) between me and between you today (the day). Upon thus his name was called Galeed; 49 And the Mizpah; which was said, YHWH shall watch between me and between you, for we are absent (hidden) a man from his neighbor. 50 If you shall afflict Aleph-Tav-my daughters, and if you take wives upon my daughters, no man is with us; See, Elohim is a Witness (Testimony) between me and between you. 51 And Laban said to Jacob, Behold this heap and behold the pillar (column) which I have instructed (taught) between me and between you; 52 This heap is a witness (testimony), and the pillar is a witness (testimony), if I, I will not go over Aleph-Tav-this heap to you, and if you, you will not go over Aleph-Tav-this heap and Aleph-Tav-this pillar (column) to me for evil. 53 The Elohim of Abraham, and the Elohim of Nahor, the Elohim of their father, they shall judge between us. And Jacob sware in the dread of his father, Isaac. 54 Then Jacob sacrificed a sacrifice on the mountain, and called to his brothers to eat bread: and they ate bread, and they lodged (stayed) on the mountain. 55 And Laban arose early (woke up, loaded up, started up) in the breaking period (morning), and kissed to his sons and to his daughters, and blessed them: and Laban went out and returned to his place.

I have a question: "Why didn't Moses say to the sons of Reuben and Gad, "No, we need to dwell over the Jordan, becuase the promised land is on the other side of this Jordan"? This is where the Israelites suffered, because of their unbelief that YHWH will give them the upper hand "on the other side of the Jordan", as noted in the Torah portion of Sh'lakh L'kha, in the book of Numbers"? I don't have an answer at this time.

Verses thirty four through forty two

Moses allowed them to build their places. Based on the timing, it took them a very short period to build their places before they crossed over to Canaan to fight with their brethren, because Moses was to die very shortly.

Looking at the following definitions of the places they built (Note: Strong's Concordance reference numbers will identified with an "S"):

GAD

Dibon (In Hebrew "Dee-vohn" (Nbyd) S1769): Pinning, sorrow
Ataroth (In Hebrew "Ah-tah-roth (trje) S5852): Crown
Aroer (In Hebrew "Ah-roh-eyr" (rere) S6167): Bare, demolish
Atroth Shophan (In Hebrew "Ah-troth Shoh-phahn" (Npws trje) S5855 [5852 + 8226]): Hidden crowns (or concealed crowns)
Jaazer (In Hebrew "Yah-zeyr" (rzey) S3270): Help

Reuben, Gad, and the half tribe of Menasseh fulfilled their oath to Moses, which is noted in the book of Joshua

Joshua 22:1 Then Joshua called the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh, 2 And said unto them, Ye have kept Aleph-Tav all that Moses, the servant of YHWH, commanded you, and have obeyed my voice in all that I commanded you: 3 Ye have not left Aleph-Tav-your brethren these many days unto this day, but have kept Aleph-Tav-the Charge of the Commandment of YHWH, your Elohim. 4 And now YHWH, your Elohim, hath given rest unto your brethren, as he promised them: therefore now return ye, and get you unto your tents, and unto the land of your possession, which Moses, the servant of YHWH, gave you on the other side Jordan. 5 But take diligent heed to do Aleph-Tav-the Commandment and Aleph-Tav-the Torah, which Moses, the servant of YHWH, charged you, to love Aleph-Tav-YHWH, your Elohim, and to walk in all of His Ways, and to keep His Commandments, and to cleave unto Him, and to serve Him with all of your heart and with all of your soul. 6 So Joshua blessed them, and sent them away: and they went unto their tents.

Joshua allowed them to return to the lands they built on the east side of the Jordan.
