THE EVIDENCE

THE CHARIOTS AND THE CHARIOT WHEELS

The late Ron Wyatt and his team dove in the waters through the years, crossing the gulf beside the Nuweiba Beach area, to see if they could find any evidence that they traveled there. They found items that would prove their theory:

"On diving down to the sea bed, in 1978, Ron Wyatt and his two sons found and photographed numerous coral encrusted chariot parts. Several dives since then have revealed more and more evidence. One of his finds included an eight spoke chariot wheel, which Ron took to the director of Egyptian Antiquities, Dr. Nassif Mohammed Hassan. Chariot boxes, human skeletal remains, four, six and eight spoke chariot wheels all lie as a silent testimony to the miracle of the parting of the Red Sea. Dozens of other independent groups and individuals have dived there to confirm the findings, including Dr. Lennart Moller who subsequently authored "The Exodus Case", Discovery Media Productions who produced "The Exodus Revealed", and Mahoney Media who are releasing "The Exodus Conspiracy", among others.

Ron Wyatt and his sons found this gold plated gold wheel below. They tried to retrieve it but as they gently lifted it, it begand to crumble. Apparantly the wood inside had rotted away and only the thin gold veneer was left."

The pictures below are chariot wheels encrusted in coral

"Below are four pictures of a chariot hub discovered in 1998 at about 10m depth. It is a four spoked hub, with one spoke missing."

"When compared to a six spoked hub from Tutankhamun's tomb in the Cairo Museum, you can see that if the wood had rotted away, it would leave the gold hub which is exactly the shape we see in the coral encrusted hub"

"These three pictures below were taken for Discovery Media Productions. Aaron Sen discovered this wheel at 28m in 2000. It rested at a 45 degree angle so the back was visible, but so much coral had grown on it, it was too heavy to even move. The wheel was metal which would add to the weight. Metal detector showed metal readings where the hub and spokes would be, but no where else on the coral. This could not have been an ordinary coral as an ordinary coral would not produce strong metal readings in the centre (the hub) and at six, equidistant protrusions from the hub (the spokes)."

"The next few pictures were taken by Viveka Ponten who lived in Saudi Arabia until the 1990s. She dived on the Saudi side directly oppositte Nuweiba and photographed these wheels below."

THE BONES AND THE HORSES HOOVES

"Below you can see a rib cage, and a horse's hoof that was recovered from the sea bed. The hoof now resides in the Wyatt Museum in Tennessee. The last picture shows a coralised femur that was retrieved from the sea bed. It shows a real femur for comparison on the left of the picture. The coralised femur was taken to the Department of Osteology in Stockholm University by Professor Lennart Moller, and proved to be a right side femur of a man approximately 162cm in height. While the bone could not be dated precisely it proved to be from antiquity. Aaron Sen and Dr. Nerida Titchiner discovered the femur and said it was discovered within a very large pile of similarly shaped corals."

These are findings of bones in the sea bed

This is what Dennis Schelles wrote to me about the diving search:

"We have hours of film underwater at the Aquaba beach, and it is a smooth sandy bottom littered with coral growing on what was left of the Egyptian army."

In conclusion, we have very good evidence that Nuweiba Beach is the very area that the Israelites stopped and crossed over the seabed where Pharaoh and his army perished.

QUESTIONS

Now that this is resolved, here are some questions:

HOW MANY DAYS DID IT TAKE THEM TO GET TO NUWEIBA BEACH?

There are some that say the Israelites arrived at the sea in three days. There are others who say they did not have enough time to get to the Gulf of Aqaba, because there were so many people that traveled (estimated between 1.8 and 3 million souls) and it would take a longer time for all of them to reach their destination. Based on these premises, some concluded that the crossing was at the Gulf of Suez.

The scriptures do not mention the amount of time it took the Israelites to reach the sea. I have two theories to this answer, which I will reveal shortly.

By the way, I agree with the estimated numbers, because there were over six hundred thousand men of war

Exodus 12:37

Exo 12:37 And the Sons of Israel, they pulled from Rameses to Succoth, as six hundred thousand of foot, the men, by apart from the little ones. 38 And also a mixed multitude went up with them; and flocks, and herds, very many animals.

This number did not include their wives, their children and the elderly. If each man of war had a wife and one child, you can guarantee a minimum of over 1.8 million and a maximum of 3 million.

HOW DID PHARAOH AND HIS ARMY FIND THE ISRAELITES?

The scriptures did not mention that Pharaoh was informed that the Isrsaelites were spotted at the Red Sea. Instead, he was told that the Israelites fled. Based on this, they did not have knowledge to find them. So how did they find the Israelites? Answer: knowing that there were over 1.8 million people, plus cattle, sheep, goats, camels, carts, etc., they would leave a very nice trail for the Egyptian army to follow.  The only thing they had to do was to follow the Israelites' tracks (no tracking dogs necessary).

WHEN DID THE ISRAELITES AND THE EGYPTIANS CROSS THE GULF OF AQABA?

I will reveal two theories on what Biblical day this occurred.

FIRST THEORY

THEY CROSSED ON THE NIGHT AFTER THE SEVENTH DAY OF THE FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD

I want to emphasize parts of the time line.

First, the Egyptians arrived during the day, if not, late in the seventh day, of Unleavened Bread (which is also a Sabbath day as well as a High Sabbath day), because it said the pillar of the cloud, that occurs by day, came between the Egyptians and the Israelites. It became darkness for the Egyptians, but it gave light at night to the Israelites

Exodus 14:19-20

Exo 14:19 And the Messenger of The Elohim that is going to the face of the Camp of Israel pulled up (journeyed), and went from behind them; And the Pillar of the Cloud pulled up (journeyed) from their faces and stood from behind them: 20 And came between the camp of Egypt and between the Camp of Israel; and was the Cloud and the darkness, and lighted את-the night: And did not come near, this one to this one all of the night.

If the Egyptians arrived at night, hwhy would have appeared in the Pillar of Fire, which is noted in the book of Exodus

Exodus 13:21-22

Exo 13:21 And יהוה was going to their faces daily in the Pillar of a Cloud to lead them at the way; and nightly in the Pillar of Fire to have light for them [(to give light to them, to be a light for them)]; to go daily and the nightly: 22 The Pillar of the Cloud did not withdrew daily, and the Pillar of Fire nighty to the face of the People.

But this was a unique exception that the cloud gave light for the night. That was one huge glow to light up Nuweiba Beach. So during the night [of the seventh day of Unleavened Bread] with the beach lit up, Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and hwhy blew an east wind all the night and dried up the land

Exodus 14:21-23

Exo 14:21 And Moses stretched out (stretched forth) את-his hand over (upon) the sea; and יהוה made go (depart, walked away) את-the sea on a fierce (harsh, ?strong?) east wind all of the night, and did (made) את-the sea to dry ground, and the waters, they broke apart (ripped apart, zipped open). 22 And the Sons of Israel, they came to the midst of the sea on the dry ground: and the waters to them had a wall from their right and from their small (left). 23 And Egypt, they pursued (chased), and they came after them to the midst of the sea, all of the horses of Pharaoh, his chariots, and his horsemen (hoofmen).

This is an interesting note. The movies portrayed them to cross over the sea by day, but it says, based on chapter 14 verses 22-24, that they crossed over while it was still night. This is what it says next

Exodus 14:24-25

Exo 14:24 And was, in the breaking period (morning) guard (keeping, observance, heeding), יהוה leaned out (peeped, gazed) to the camp of Egypt in the Pillar of Fire and of the Cloud, and confused (disturbed, discomfited, commotioned) את the camp of Egypt, 25 And removed את the revolving item (ohphan-wheel) from their chariots, and they drove in heaviness (difficulty): and Egypt said, I will flee from the face of Israel; for יהוה is warring for them against Egypt.

What does this tell us? It tells us that it was night time "IN THE MORNING WATCH", which meant it was the fourth watch between the ninth and twelfth hours of the night (between three and six o'clock), and dawn was breaking around the twelfth hour.

It also mentions during the morning watch that hwhy took off their chariot wheels. This is another key factor to the time line

Exodus 14:26-27

Exo 14:26 And יהוה said to Moses, Stretch out (Stretch forth) את-your hand over (upon) the sea, and the waters, they will return upon (over) Egypt, over (upon) his chariots, and over (upon) his horsemen (hoofmen). 27 And Moses stretched out (stretched forth) את-his hand over (upon) the sea, and the sea returned to his permanence (toughness, roughness) to the face of breaking period (morning); and את-Egypt fled to meet (encounter) him; and hwhy overthrew (shook off) את-Egypt in the midst of the sea.

hwhy had Moses stretch out his hand over the sea "TOWARD THE FACING OF THE MORNING", which means that the sun was just about to rise. That means Pharaoh and his army were drowned in the gulf before the sun started to appear.

This is a map of the crossing route of Nuweiba Beach

As you see, it is about 10 miles between Nuweiba Beach and the beach in Saudi Arabia. Now if you think about that fact at least 2 million Israelites crossed over the ten mile gulf during the three hour period, followed by the time the Egyptian army was in the middle of crossing over during the latter part of the three hour period, one would say that it took about 2 1/2 hours for the Israelites to complete the ten mile crossing of the gulf while the Egyptians were allowed to start crossing after 2 1/2 hours which would give them time to get at least to the center of the gulf.

Based on this information, we can begin to estimate the distance that the Israelites traveled from Goshen to Nuweiba Beach. Based on optional routes, it would be about between 200 and 250 miles.

If we do a little math, we can estimate how many hours it would take for them to get there:

 2.5 hours=10 miles
25 hours=100 miles
50 hours=200 miles
62.5 hours=250 miles

Knowing that they left Rameses on the the 15th of Aviv (Numbers 33:3, mentioned earlier), If they traveled at minimum of a twelve hour period, knowing that the pillar of fire would give them light to travel by night, which was used partly for their travels, there is a good chance they would have made it to Nuweiba Beach, about 200 to 250 miles away, within five days. That would take them to the later part of the 20th day of Aviv, the fifth day of unleavened bread, before the sixth day of unleavened bread. If it is true that they arrived at the beach in five days before the sixth day of their journey, the sixth day would be on a Shabbat, and they would have physically rested a day at Nuweiba Beach. And if so, did the Israelites crossing over the sea to the other side a type on the seventh day of Unleavened Bread a type and shadow of the Feast of First Fruits? We know that Israel is hwhy's first born- His "First Fruits". Wouldn't it make sense that the crossing occurred on that High Holy Day? If this is so, it would be a shadow and type of Yeshua, the first born of hwhy, that resurrected on First Fruits and become the first born, or "first fruits", among many brethren. When the Israelites crossed over the sea, they were in a state of death, and when they arrived on the other side, they were resurrected from the potential death in the sea. This would be a type and shadow of Yeshua rising from the depths of death on the first day of the Omer on Firstfruits.

This theory has sense, but does it give enough backbone to support this theory?

Looking at the second theory

SECOND THEORY

THEY CROSSED ON THE NIGHT ON THE FOURTH DAY OF THE FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD

There is an account that could be the precursor of this three day account, and this is what Moses said to Pharaoh, which is noted in the book of Exodus

Exodus 3:18

Exo 3:18 And they will listen to your voice: and you shall come, you and the Elders of Israel, to the king of Egypt, and you shall say to him, יהוה, Elohim of the Hebrim (Hebrews), has befell (happened, bought about) upon us: and now, we will go now at a way of three days in the wilderness, and we will sacrifice to יהוה, our Elohim.

Exodus 5:3

Exo 5:3 And they said, the Elohim of the Hebrews has met upon us: We will go now a journey of three days in the wilderness, and we will sacrifice to hwhy, our Elohim; lest shall impinge us on the plague or on the sword.

The day that the Israelites left Egypt is noted in the book of Numbers

Numbers 33:1-3

Num 33:1 These are the journeys of the sons of Israel, whom they went out from the land of Egypt by their armies on the hand of Moses and Aaron. 2 And Moses wrote את-their outgoings to their journeys upon the Mouth of hwhy: and these are their journeys by their outgoings.3 And they pulled up from Rameses in the first renewed month, on the fifteenth day of the first renewed month; from after the Passover, the Sons of Israel, they went out on a High Hand to the eyes of all of the Egyptians.

If this theory is correct, that means the Israelites would have arrived at the Sea of Reeds, three days later. By late in the third day, and calculating out the chronology that would fit this premise by adding two and two, Pharaoh and his army would have left in the morning on the third day, and arriving at the Sea of Reeds by the end of the third day, then on the beginning of the fourth day, יהוה divided the sea to make a dry freeway for the Israelites to cross over. Before sunrise, Pharoah and his army were in the midde of the dried up sea, when יהוה covered them up. If this theory is correct, this would fit to the statement that Yeshua made, which is noted in the Gospel of John

John 2:13 And the Jews' Passover was at hand, and Yeshua went up to Jerusalem, 14 And found in the Temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting: 15 And when He had made a scourge of small cords, He drove them all out of the Temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables; 16 And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not My Father's House an house of merchandise. 17 And His disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of Thine House hath eaten me up. 18 Then answered the Jews and said unto Him, What sign shewest Thou unto us, seeing that Thou doest these things? 19 Yeshua answered and said unto them, Destroy this Temple, and in three days I will raise Him up. 20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this Temple in building, and wilt Thou rear it up in three days? 21 But He spake of the Temple of His Body.

As I noted in the Passover/Unleavened Bread information webpage, Yeshua was buried in the tomb for three days, during the first three days of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, and was resurrected on the beginning on the first Biblical day of the week on First Fruits. Yeshua's account of His burial and resurrection, would fitly compare to the account of the Israelites three days journey.

The Pillar of the Cloud, that occured by day, came between the Egyptians and the Israelites.

If the Egyptians arrived at night, hwhy would have appeared in the pillar of fire, as mentioned in the book of Exodus

Showing the same map of the crossing route of Nuweiba Beach

The Israelites reached the Sea of Reeds on the third day and crossing the other side on the fourth day, a type of resurrection, on the day of First Fruits.

There are more scriptural references to provide backbone for the basis of the dates regarding this second theory. I am leaning toward believing that the second theory is correct.

This is a chart showing the comparison of the times lines between Moses and the Israelites leaving Pharaoh to the crossing of the Gulf of Aqaba at Nuweiba Beach, and between Yeshua's crucifixion to His resurrection

SUMMARY

To summarize, it has been realized that:

*The Passover Lamb healed the people of their ailments.
*The Blood that covered the lintel and door post was a type and shadow of Yeshua's blood covering us.
*The phrase "between the mixing periods" or "between the mingling periods" is the night that occurred after the first mixing at sunset and before the second mixing before sunrise on the fourteenth of Aviv.
*The moon was full during the Exodus' Passover.
*Joseph tomb was carried throughout the entire journey.
*Carrying their kneading troughs were a type and shadow of carrying their crosses.
*Israel departed on the fifteenth of Aviv at night, the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread.
*The Gulf of Suez and the Straits of Tiran were not the locations of the crossing area.
*Nuweiba Beach shows concrete proof that it was the location with evidence of remains of chariot wheels, human bones and horse hooves lying on the sea bed,and the modern name of the Gulf, being named after the Israelites' patriarch, Jacob.
*Pharaoh and his army found the Israelites through their tracks.
*The Israelites could have arrived at Nuweiba Beach late in the third day of Unleavened Bread to compare the three days Yeshua was buried in the tomb.
*The crossing occurred in the fourth watch of the night and the sea covered the army in the breaking of the sun rising, which either day, would represent the Biblical day of First Fruits.
* The Sea of Reeds crossing occurred on the fourth day of Unleavened Bread which would coincide with Yeshua being resurrected from the dead, on the fourth day of Unleavened Bread.
*Between the two theories, the second theory has Biblical references to back up the second theory that it took three days to get to Nuweiba Beach and cross over the sea.
