THE AZAZEL SCAPEGOAT, THE GOAT DEDICATED TO יהוה AND THE BRITH KHADASHAH ACCOUNT

THE TORAH ACCOUNT OF THE HIGH PRIEST ON YOM KIPPUR

This is the commandment of the High Priest regarding the Azazel scapegoat and the Goat Dedicated to  hwhy at the Holy Temple during Yom HaKippurim, commonly known as Yom Kippur, which is noted in the book of Leviticus

Leviticus 16:2-34

Lev 16:2 And יהוה said to Moses, Speak to Aaron, your brother, and shall not come in any time to the Sacred Area (Sacredness, Sanctuary) from housingward (inside) to the Veil to the face of the Mercy Seat (Atoning Seat) which is upon the Ark; and shall not die: for I will appear in the Cloud upon the Mercy Seat (Atoning Seat). 3 On this shall Aaron come to the Sacred Area (Sacredness, Sanctuary): among a bullock of a son of the herd for a Sin Offering, and a ram for an Elevation Offering (Ascension Offering, Burnt Offering). 4 Shall clothe on the Sacred (Holy) Coat (Tunic) of Bahd-Linen, and the Breeches of Bahd-Linen, they shall be upon his flesh, and shall gird on the Belt (Band) of Bahd-Linen, and shall wrap on the Turban (Mitre) of Bahd-Linen: they are Sacred (Holy) Garments; And shall bathe את-his flesh in the water and shall clothe them on.

5 And shall take from את the Congregation of the Sons of Israel of two goats of kids for a Sin Offering, and one ram for an Elevation Offering (Ascension Offering, Burnt Offering). 6 And Aaron shall bring near את-the bullock of the Sin Offering which is for himself, and shall atone on unto himself and on unto his house. 7 And shall take את-the two goats, and shall stand them to the Face of יהוה at the Entrance of the Tent of Appointment. 8 And Aaron shall give over (upon) the two goats lot stones; one lot stone for יהוה, and one lot stone for the Azazel (Scapegoat). 9 And Aaron shall bring near את-the goat which ascended upon him the lot stone for יהוה, and shall do (offer) him of a Sin Offering. 10 And the goat which ascended upon him of the lot stone for the Azazel (Scapegoat) shall stand alive to the Face of יהוה to atone upon him, to send him away by escaping (departing) [(for an Azazel (a Scapegoat)] to the wilderness.

11 And Aaron shall bring near את-the bullock of the Sin Offering which is for himself, and shall atone on unto himself and on unto his house, and shall slaughter את-the bullock of the Sin Offering which is for himself: 12 And shall take the fullness of the censer (firepan) of coals of fire from upon the Altar from of the Face of יהוה, and the fullness of his fist of the sweet (aromatic) incense, beaten small (powdered), and shall bring from housingward (inside) of the Veil: 13 And shall give את-the incense upon the fire to the Face of יהוה, and the cloud of the incense shall cover (conceal) את-the Mercy Seat (Atoning Seat) which is upon the Testimony (Witness), and shall not die:

14 And shall take from the blood of the bullock, and on his finger shall spurt (besprinkle, sprinkle) upon the face of the Mercy Seat (Atoning Seat), eastward; and to the face of the Mercy Seat (Atoning Seat) shall spurt (besprinkle, sprinkle) from the blood on his finger seven times.

15 And shall slaughter את-the goat of the Sin Offering which is for the People, and shall bring את-his blood to from housingward (inside) of the Veil, and shall do (offer) את-his blood as the which was done to the blood of the bullock, and shall spurt (besprinkle, sprinkle) him upon the Mercy Seat (Atoning Seat) and to the face of the Mercy Seat (Atoning Seat): 16 And shall atone upon the Sacred Area (Sacredness, Sanctuary) from the uncleanness (filthiness, impurities) of the Sons of Israel, and from their transgressions for all of their sins: and so shall do for the Tent of Appointment that tabernacles with them in the midst of their uncleanness (filthiness, impurities).

17 And any Adam shall not be in the Tent of Appointment in his going in to atone in the Sacred Area (Sacredness, Sanctuary) until he comes out and shall atone on unto himself, and on unto his household, and on unto all of the Assembly of Israel. 18 And shall go out to the Altar which is to the Face of יהוה, and shall atone upon himself; and shall take from the blood of the bullock and from the blood of the goat, and shall give upon the Horns of the Altar all around. 19 And shall spurt (besprinkle, sprinkle) upon him from the blood on his finger upon him seven times, and shall cleanse himself, and shall sanctify himself from the uncleanness (filthiness, impurities) of the Sons of Israel.

20 And finishing from atoning את-the Sacred Area, and את-the Tent of Appointment, and את-the Altar, and bringing near את-the living goat [(the goat that is alive)]: 21 And Aaron shall support (lay) את-two of his hands upon the head of the living goat, and shall make known (confess) upon him את-all of the iniquities of the Sons of Israel and את-all of their transgressions, of all of their sins, and shall give them upon the head of the goat, and shall be sent away on the hand of a fit timely [(fit)] man to the wilderness: 22 And the goat shall bear (carry) upon him את-all of their iniquities to a uninhabited area (deserted area): and shall send את-the goat in the wilderness.

23 And Aaron shall come to the Tent of Appointment, and shall strip off את-the Garments of the Bahd-Linen which was clothed in his going to the Sacred Area (Sacredness, Sanctuary), and shall leave them there: 24 And shall bathe את-his flesh in the water in the Sacred (Holy) Place, and shall clothe את-his Garments, and shall come out, and shall do (offer) את-his Elevation Offering (Ascension Offering, Burnt Offering) and את-the Elevation Offering (Ascension Offering, Burnt Offering) of the People, and shall atone on unto him and on unto the People. 25 And shall incense (smoke, fumigate, burn) את-the kheylev-fat of the Sin Offering to the Altar.

26 And the the one sending out את-the goat of (for) the Azazel (Scapegoat) shall wash his Garments, and shall bathe את-his flesh in the water, and after thus, shall come to the Camp.

27 And את the bullock of the Sin Offering and את-the goat of the Sin Offering, which את-their blood was brought to atone in the Sacred Area (Sacredness, Sanctuary), shall go out to from outside by the Camp; and את-their skins, and את-their flesh, and את-their dung, they shall be burned up in the fire. 28 And the one burning them up shall wash his Garments, and shall bathe את-his flesh in the water, and after thus, shall come to the Camp.

29 And she shall be to yourselves for a Statute of Ages: in the seventh renewed month, on the ten of the renewed month, you shall afflict את-your souls, and the native and the sojourner (stranger) that is sojourning in your midst, you shall not do any work: 30 For shall atone upon you on this day to cleanse yourselves from all of your sins to the Face of יהוה, you shall be clean. 31 She is a Shabbath Shabbathon (Intermittent Shabbath, Intermittent Rest, Intermittent Repose) to yourselves, and you shall afflict את-your souls; is a Statute of Ages.

32 And the Priest shall atone him which shall be anointed, and the which shall fill (consecrate) את-his hand for the Priestship [(to act as Priest)] instead of his father, and shall clothe את-the Garments of the Bahd-Linen, the Sacred (Holy) Garments: 33 And shall atone את-the Sacred (Holy) Sanctuary, and shall atone את-the Tent of Appointment and את-the Altar, and shall atone upon the Priests, and upon all of the People of the Assembly. 34 And this she shall be to you for a Statute of Ages to atone upon the Sons of Israel from all of their sins once in the year. And did as the which יהוה commanded את-Moses.

The Aleph-Tavs were mostly on the Goat Dedicated to יהוה. There is a reason for this.

The purpose for the two kids, the one for יהוה and the one for the Azazel, is that they are to be young goats, or "sons" of a goat. This was the highest and, one could say, the most ceremonial acts the High Priest did once a year, on the tenth day of the seventh month, on Yom HaKippurim, which is noted in the book of Leviticus

Leviticus 23:26-32

Lev 23:26 And יהוה spoke to Moses, to say, 27 Only on the ten of this seventh renewed month shall be the Day of the Atonements: he shall be a Sacred (Holy) Calling (Convocation) to yourselves; and you shall afflict (humble) את-your souls, and you shall bring near a Fire Offering to יהוה.
28 And you shall not do any work on this same day: for he is the Day of Atonements to atone upon yourselves to the Face of יהוה, your Elohim. 29 For any of the soul of which she shall not be afflicted (humbled) in this same day, and shall be cut off from her People. 30 And any of the soul of which she does any work on this same day, and I shall destroy (perish) את-that soul from the nearness of her People. 31 You shall not do any work: a Statute of Ages for your generations in all of your dwellings. 32 He is a Shabbath Shabbathon (Intermittent Shabbath, Intermittent Rest, Intermittent Repose) to yourselves, and you shall afflict (humble) את-your souls: on the nine of the renewed month, in the mixing period (evening), from mixing period (evening), until mixing period (evening), you shall repose (desist, rest, relax) your Shabbath.

According to the Torah, the Azazel, or scapegoat, was to take on the sins of the Israelites to be taken to away from the Camp to be left in the wilderness.

Looking at the words AZAZEL

The Hebrew word for azazel, is "ah-zah-zeyl"-  Ayin, Zayin, Aleph, Zayin, Lamed (עזאזל). It is from Strong's Concordance number 5799, and its definition

From H5795 and H235; goat of departure; the scapegoat: - scapegoat.

Az

from 5795 "eyz"- (עז), and its definition

From H5810; a she goat (as strong), but masculine in plural (which also is used elliptically for goats' hair): - (she) goat, kid.

from 5810 "ah-zahz" (עזז), and its definition

A primitive root; to be stout (literally or figuratively): - harden, impudent, prevail, strengthen (self), be strong.

Azel

from 235 "ah-zahl" (אזל), and its definition

A primitive root; to go away, hence to disappear: - fail, gad about, go to and fro [but in Eze_27:19 the word is rendered by many “from Uzal,” by others “yarn”], be gone (spent).

Azazel means "goat of departure" or "goat of dissapearing". That is why its title is slanged as "Scapegoat".

THE BRITH KHADASHA ACCOUNT RELATING TO THE TWO GOATS FOR YOM KIPPUR

Fast forward in time to Passover day where Yeshua was with Pilate. This is the account of Yeshua before He was crucified, which is noted in the Gospels of Matthew and Mark

Matthew 27:15-26

Mar 27:15 Now at that Feast [Passover] the governor was wont to release unto the People a prisoner, whom they would. 16 And they had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas. 17 Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Yeshua which is called Messiah? 18 For he knew that for envy they had delivered Him. 19 When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that Just Man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of Him. 20 But the Chief Priests and Elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Yeshua. 21 The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas. 22 Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Yeshua who is called Messiah? They all say unto him, Let Him be crucified. 23 And the governor said, Why, what evil hath He done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let Him be crucified. 24 When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the Blood of this Just Person: see ye to it. 25 Then answered all the People, and said, His Blood be on us, and on our children. 26 Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Yeshua, he delivered Him to be crucified.

Mark 15:6-15

Mar 15:6 Now at that Feast [Passover] he released unto them one prisoner, whomsoever they desired. 7 And there was one named Barabbas, which lay bound with them that had made insurrection with him, who had committed murder in the insurrection. 8 And the multitude crying aloud began to desire him to do as he had ever done unto them. 9 But Pilate answered them, saying, Will ye that I release unto you the King of the Jews? 10 For he knew that the Chief Priests had delivered Him for envy. 11 But the Chief Priests moved the People, that he should rather release Barabbas unto them. 12 And Pilate answered and said again unto them, What will ye then that I shall do unto Him whom ye call the King of the Jews? 13 And they cried out again, Crucify Him. 14 Then Pilate said unto them, Why, what evil hath He done? And they cried out the more exceedingly, Crucify Him. 15 And so Pilate, willing to content the People, released Barabbas unto them, and delivered Yeshua, when he had scourged Him, to be crucified.

These next couple of paragraphs I give Bill Cloud of Shoreshim Ministries the credit for these notations.

Pilate chose two prisioners, one of them was Yeshua, and the other who named Barabbas, who was a notorious murderer via insurrection. This is a symbolic scene of the two kids of the goats. The symbolic two kids are Barabbas and Yeshua, but how are they the same symbolic "kids"? The name Barabbas is the Aramaic fir "Bar Abba", meaning "Son of the Father". Yeshua is also known as "Bar Abba"- "Son of the Father". These two people are "Bar Abba", or in this Torah account symbolic "kids, or "sons", of the goats" for Yom Kippur. But this account didn't occur on Yom Kippur. So how is this possible?

When Pilate offered the Jewish People to choose to release one of the prisoners on Passover, Pilate was making the People the decision makers between the two "Bar Abbas" in which the Jewish People became the symbolic "lot stones".

When the People chose Barabbas, they were saying to Pilate "We choose Barabbas to be for the symbolic Azazel, their symbolic "Scapegoat", and when they did that, they made Yeshua the symbolic Goat Dedicated for hwhy to be sacrificed. As I noted earlier in the Torah account of the High Priest, the majority of the "Aleph-Tavs" exists to the the Goat Dedicated to יהוה. Yeshua is also known as "The Aleph and the Tav" (In Greek, the Alpha and Omega), which is noted in the apostle John's book of Revelation

Revelation 1:8

Rev 1:8 I am Alpha [Aleph] and Omega [Tav], the Beginning and the Ending, saith יהוה, Who Is, and Who Was, and Who Is To Come, the Almighty.

When the Aleph-Tavs are shown next to the areas for the Goat Dedicated to יהוה, it was hinting to us that it was Yeshua, the Aleph and the Tav, who would be the symbolic Goat Dedicated to יהוה.

According to the Commandment relating to the Azazel (Scapegoat) in Leviticus, it also means that it was to take on the sins of the People. That means Barabbas, the symbolic Azazel (Scapegoat) would have to take on the sins of the Jewish People, but here was one catch that the Jews, especially the Pharisees and the Saducees, did not realize. Or did they?

Looking at verses twenty through twenty two of the Torah account of the Azazel (scapegoat) again, which is noted in the book of Leviticus

Leviticus 16:20 And finishing from atoning את-the Sacred Area, and את-the Tent of Appointment, and את-the Altar, and bringing near את-the living goat [(the goat that is alive)]: 21 And Aaron shall support (lay) את-two of his hands upon the head of the living goat, and shall make known (confess) upon him את-all of the iniquities of the Sons of Israel and את-all of their transgressions, of all of their sins, and shall give them upon the head of the goat, and shall be sent away on the hand of a fit timely [(fit)] man to the wilderness: 22 And the goat shall bear (carry) upon him את-all of their iniquities to a uninhabited area (deserted area): and shall send את-the goat in the wilderness.

The High Priest was to lay his hands on the kid of the Azazel (Scapegoat) to receive the sins of the People, via the High Priest, and to be sent away to the wilderness, never to return. We will look into this account of the result of Barabbas a little later.

By the way, when the apostle John noted that Yeshua should die for the People of יהוה who were scattered abroad, that also included the Lost Ten Northern Tribes of Israel, who were exiled and scattered abroad from Israel since 722 BC, and it also includes the mixed multitude around the world.

THE HEIRDOM TO THE HIGH PRIEST POSITION

Next, looking into the High Priest who would have been responsible for this Yom HaKippurim act. During Yeshua's time, it was Caiaphas who was High Priest. This is an account of Caiaphas, which is noted in the Gospel of John

John 11:49-52

Joh 11:49 And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the High Priest that same year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all, 50 Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that One Man should die for the People, and that the Whole Nation perish not. 51 And this spake he not of himself: but being High Priest that year, he prophesied that Yeshua should die for that Nation; 52 And not for that Nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the Children of hwhy that were scattered abroad.

Caiaphas was the High Priest who would be the one to lay the hands on the Azazel (Scapegoat). There was no question that Caiaphas "bought" his way to become the High Priest, but because Caiaphas held the High Priestship, it was honored. But there was a true Levite who was alive at the time, and who was more legitimate who had the right claim to become High Priest. This is the Aaronic Levite's predecesor, who is noted in the Gospel of Luke

Luke 1:5-6

Luk 1:5 In the days of Herod, King of Judea, there was a Priest named Zechariah, of the division of Abijah. And he had a wife from the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth. 6 And they were both righteous before יהוה, walking blamelessly in all the Commandments and Statutes of יהוה.

Elizabeth was of the line of "Aaron".

Aaron and his descendants were to do the service in the Tent of Appointment/the Temple which is based in the book of Exodus

Exodus 28:1-3

Exo 28:1 And you shall bring near to yourself את-Aaron, your brother, and את-his sons with him from the midst of the Sons of Israel for his Priestship (Priestly Acts) for Me; Aaron, Nadab and the Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar, the sons of Aaron. 2 And you shall do (make) Sacred (Holy) Garments for Aaron, your brother, for glory and for ornamentalness (gleamness, beauty). 3 And you, you shall speak to all of the wise at (of) heart which I have filled (consecrated) a Spirit of Wisdom, and they shall do (make) את-the Garments of Aaron to sanctify him, for his Priestship (Priestly Acts) to Me.

Based on this notion, Abijah was descended from one of the Priests who returned to Jerusalem from the Babylonian captivity, which is noted in the book of Nehemiah

Nehemiah 12:1-4, 7

Neh 12:1 These are the Priests and the Levites who came up with Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua: Seraiah, Jeremiah, Ezra, 2 Amariah, Malluch, Hattush, 3 Shecaniah, Rehum, Meremoth, 4 Iddo, Ginnethoi, Abijah,... 7...These were the Chiefs of the Priests and of their brothers in the days of Jeshua.

Based on these two passages, Zechariah would have also been of the Line of Aaron which was noted in Luke's passage earlier, because only the Aaronite Priests were to do the Priestly Acts. So both Zechariah and Elizabeth were of the Aaronite Preistly line.

It reveals who the next Levite of Yeshua's generation is to be the next in line to the High Priesthood, which is noted in the Gospel of Luke

Luke 1:7-20, 24-25, 57-63

Luk 1:7 And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years. 8 And it came to pass, that while he executed the Priest's Office before יהוה in the order of his course, 9 According to the Custom of the Priest's Office, his lot was to burn incense when he went into the Temple of יהוה.

10 And the whole multitude of the People were praying without at the time of incense. 11 And there appeared unto him a messenger of יהוה standing on the right side of the Altar of Incense. 12 And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him. 13 But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife, Elisabeth, shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name, John. 14 And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth. 15 For he shall be great in the Eyes of hwhy, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother's womb. 16 And many of the Children of Israel shall he turn to יהוה, their Elohim. 17 And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a People prepared for יהוה.

18 And Zacharias said unto the messenger, Whereby shall I know this? For I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years. 19 And the messenger answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stands in the Presence of יהוה; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings. 20 And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my Words, which shall be fulfilled in their season.... 24 And after those days his wife Elisabeth conceived, and hid herself five months, saying, 25 Thus hath יהוה dealt with me in the days wherein he looked on me, to take away my reproach among men.... 57 Now Elisabeth's full time came that she should be delivered; and she brought forth a son. 58 And her neighbours and her cousins heard how יהוה had shewed great mercy upon her; and they rejoiced with her. :59 And it came to pass, that on the eighth day they came to circumcise the child; and they called him Zacharias, after the name of his father. 60 And his mother answered and said, Not so; but he shall be called John. 61 And they said unto her, There is none of thy kindred that is called by this name. 62 And they made signs to his father, how he would have him called. 63 And he asked for a writing tablet, and wrote, saying, His name is John. And they marvelled all.

Since Elizabeth was of the line of "Aaron", and Zechariah was also of the Aaronite tribe based of his work in the Temple and of the Abijah lineage, their son, John the Baptist, was also of the line of Aaron, and based on this Gospel's passage he would have been in line to the High Priestship. John the Baptist who was also of the line of Abijah became in line to the High Priesthood. But later in time, he was executed by Herod, which is noted in the Gospel of Matthew

Matthew 14:1-12

Mat 14:1 At that time Herod, the tetrarch, heard of the fame of Yeshua, 2 And said unto his servants, This is John, the Baptist; he is risen from the dead; and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in Him. 3 For Herod had laid hold on John, and bound him, and put him in prison for Herodias' sake, his brother Philip's wife. 4 For John said unto him, It is not lawful for thee to have her. 5 And when he would have put him to death, he feared the multitude, because they counted him as a prophet. 6 But when Herod's birthday was kept, the daughter of Herodias danced before them, and pleased Herod. 7 Whereupon he promised with an oath to give her whatsoever she would ask. 8 And she, being before instructed of her mother, said, Give me here John Baptist's head in a charger. 9 And the king was sorry: nevertheless for the oath's sake, and them which sat with him at meat, he commanded it to be given her. 10 And he sent, and beheaded John in the prison. 11 And his head was brought in a charger, and given to the damsel: and she brought it to her mother. 12 And his disciples came, and took up the body, and buried it, and went and told Yeshua.

However, Elizabeth, a descendant of Aaron, John's the Baptist's mother, had a Levitical cousin, which is noted in the Gospel of Luke

Luke 1:26-28, 36, 39-40

Luk 1:26 And in the sixth month [of Elizabeth's pregnancy] the messenger, Gabriel, was sent from יהוה unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, 27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. 28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail thou that art highly favoured, יהוה is with thee: blessed art thou among women.... 36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.... 39 And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda; 40 And entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth. 41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit:

Elizbeth's cousin's name was Mary. Based on Luke's passage, they could have been most likely first cousins, which means that their fathers were brothers, or their mothers were sisters, and had a common grandfather. If not, they could have been descendants of a common great-grandfather. Either way, Mary was definitely a descendant of the tribe of the lineage Aaron, the High Priest.

Since Mary was a descendant of Aaron, she was the mother of Yeshua, which is noted in the Gospel of Luke

Luke 1:29-30

Luk 1:29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. 30 And the messenger said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with יהוה.

31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a Son, and shalt call His Name YESHUA.

When John the Baptist died, Yeshua became the designate to be next in line to the High Priesthood. I want to note that Yeshua was not born in the line of Judah via Joseph, but Yeshua was legally adopted into the Judaic line, which makes Him also a Judean. But Yeshua was a descendant of the line of Judah via His mother, Mary, of the Levitical line via Aaron marrying Elisheba, daughter of Ahitub from the tribe of Judah. Elisheba was also sister to Nashon, which are noted in the books of Exodus and Numbers

Numbers 2:3

Num 2:3 And the ones encamping eastward at the sunrising shall be the standard (flag) of the Camp of Judah by their armies: and the ruler of the sons of Judah was Nahshon, son of Amminadab.

Exodus 6:23

Exo 6:23 And Aaron took את-Elisheba, daughter of Amminadab, sister of Nahshon, to himself for a wife; and she birthed to  him את-Nadab, and את-Abihu, את-Eleazar, and את-Ithamar.

But that's a different story altogether.

THE ISSUE REGARDING THE BLUE EPHOD

Before going back to Yeshua facing Caiaphas, the High Priest, The Blue Ephod of the High Priest needs to be explained, because Caiaphas wore this Blue Ephod. Starting with the account of the Blue Ephod, which is noted in the books of Exodus and Leviticus

Exodus 28:31-32

Exo 28:31 And you shall do (make) את-the Outer Robe (Upper Robe) [(?Trespass Robe?, ?Transgressor Robe?)] of the Ephod wholly of blue. 32 And shall be the mouth of his head in his midst: a lip shall be to his mouth all around, a doing (work) of a braider (rugger, weaver) like the mouth of a habergeon (corselet, sleeveless coat, ?glow coat?, ?armored mail?) shall be to him. Shall not be rent.

Leviticus 21:10

Lev 21:10 And the Great (High) Priest from his brethren which has the Oil of the Anointing poured on his head, and has את-his hand filled (consencrated) to clothe on את-the Garments, shall not loose (uncover) את-his head, and shall not rent his Garments;

The Blue Ephod garment is of one color, and it is of blue, not like the other garment that is mixed colors and gold. The blue color represents Heaven, as in the Kingdom of Heaven, showing that this is a "heavenly" matter.

This is a possible pattern of the Blue Robe of the Ephod

The "lip" and the "mouth" of the garment are representations and symbols of the Word of hwhy being "spoken" forth through the "lips" and the "mouth" of the High Priest's garment.

This is a rough sketch of the mouth and lip of the blue robe

Based on this Blue Robe, if we take it at its word (no pun intended), this is the key Garment that would nullify one as the High Priest, otherwise יהוה would not have made a big deal about it to make it so that it would not rent.

Going back to the Gospel account where Yeshua met Caiaphas, the High Priest, this is what happened, which is noted in the Gospel of Matthew

Matthew 26:57-65

Mat 26:57 And they that had laid hold on Yeshua led Him away to Caiaphas, the High Priest, where the Scribes and the Elders were assembled. 58 But Peter followed Him afar off unto the High Priest's Palace, and went in, and sat with the servants, to see the end. 59 Now the Chief Priests, and Elders, and all the Council, sought false witness against Yeshua, to put Him to death; 60 But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses, 61 And said, This Fellow said, I am able to destroy the Temple of יהוה, and to build it in three days. 62 And the High Priest arose, and said unto Him, Answerest Thou nothing? What is it which these witness against Thee? 63 But Yeshua held His Peace. And the High Priest answered and said unto Him, I adjure thee by the Living Elohim, that Thou tell us whether Thou be the Messiah, the Son of Elohim. 64 Yeshua saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of Man sitting on the Right Hand of Power, and coming in the clouds of the heavens. 65 Then the High Priest rent his Clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? Behold, now ye have heard His blasphemy.

When Caiaphas "rent" the garment, he did it at the "lip" and "mouth" of the Blue Ephod. In other words, Caiaphas destroyed the lip and mouth that symbolically speaks the Word of יהוה. Thus Caiaphas nullified the Blue Ephod garment's ability to "speak" the Word. From that point on, Caiaphas nullified himself as the High Priest in the presence of Yeshua, and since Yeshua was the delegate next in line, Yeshua became the new High Priest, and took over the High Priesthood, which means that He was to take over the High Priestly Acts which I will reveal shortly.

THE HIGH PRIESTHOOD FOR THE INIQUITIES (AND SINS), AND THE AFTERMATH OF THE SYMBOLIC TWO GOATS IN THE BRITH KHADASHAH

One of the requirements in the Torah for the High Priest is to bear the iniquities (and sins) of the People, which is noted in the book of Numbers

Numbers 18:1

Num 18:1 And יהוה said to Aaron, You and your sons and the house of your fathers with you, you shall bear (carry, lift up) את-the Iniquity of the Sanctuary: and you and your sons with you, you shall bear (carry, lift up) את-the Iniquity of your Priestship (Priesthood).

The Priests of the line of Aaron and his sons were to bear the iniquities of the Sanctuary and the Priesthood, which means that the iniquities coming from the People who provide the offerings for their iniquities and sins. Yeshua was of the line of Aaron's family. That means when Yeshua took over the High Priesthood, He bore the iniquities connected with the Sanctuary and the Priesthood. The High Priest bore the iniquities and sins from the offerings and sacrifices of the People that were offered up to  יהוה, and those elements represented the sins and iniquities of the Israelites. The Priests ate some of the elements that bear the iniquities and sins that were put on the animals offered by the Priests. Caiaphas originally bore them, but now Yeshua, the current legitimate High Priest, was responsible for bearing the People's iniquities and sins.

Going back to the Gospel account of the two "Bar Abbas", the two symbolic kids of the goats, who were Barabbas and Yeshua, when Yeshua was chosen as the symbolic Goat Dedicated to יהוה and has now become the new High Priest, He right then from there onward bore the sins and iniquities of the People. But what about Barabbas? He was the one chosen by the Jewish People to be symbolically chosen to be the symbolic Azazel (Scapegoat), meaning that Barabbas was symbolically to take on the sins of the People, and not Yeshua according to the Commandment of the Azazel (Scapegoat). Repeating what Pilate did to Barabbas and Yeshua, which are noted in the Gospels of Matthew and Mark

Matthew 27:26

Mat 27:26 Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Yeshua, he delivered Him to be crucified.

Mark 15:15

Mar 15:15 And so Pilate, willing to content the People, released Barabbas unto them, and delivered Yeshua, when he had scourged Him, to be crucified.

When Barabbas became the symbolic Azazel (Scapegoat), did he take on the sins and iniquities for the People according to the Torah of the Azazel (scapegoat)? No, he didn't. Who bore the iniquities and the sins of the People at the moment? It was "Yeshua". According to the Commandment of the two goat kids, did Yeshua as the current High Priest lay His Hands to put the sins and iniquities of the People on Barabbas? No, He didn't. Why didn't He? Because Yeshua had to be the One to bear the sins of the Israelites, as well as the Gentiles around the world in order to fulfill the Heavenly Father's Will. This is what the apostle Paul noted in his letter to the assembly in Galatia, and what the apostle John noted in his epistle

Galatians 1:3-4

Gal 1:3 Grace be to you and peace from Elohim the Father, and from our Lord Yeshua, the Messiah, 4 Who gave Himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the Will of hwhy and our Father:

1 John 2:1-2

1 Jn 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an Advocate with the Father, Yeshua, the Messiah, the Righteous: 2 And He is the Propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the whole world.

When Yeshua became the High Priest, he bore the iniquities and sins of the High Priest, including the iniquities and sins of the former High Priest, Caiaphas.

Returning to the Azazel (Scapegoat) Commandment, the Azazel (Scapegoat) was to be sent out to the wilderness and never to return. The other action, though not mentioned, but understood, is that the Azazel (Scapegoat) was to go into the wilderness and stay there, and to never come back to the People again. Did Barabbas, the symbolic Azazel (Scapegoat), leave the People by going to the wilderness and not come back according to the Torah of the Azazel (Scapegoat)? Though it doesn't say it, Barabbas most likely stayed around with the Jewish People. Barabbas did not take on the sins, and he did not flee into the wilderness as would have been required for the role of the Azazel (Scapegoat). This had an effect of that year as well as the future years, which I will reveal later.

Yeshua became the symbolic Goat Dedicated to יהוה, but He also bore the iniquities and sins that the symbolic Azazel (Scapegoat), which Barabbas should have rightly symbolically taken. Yeshua took the iniquitites and sins to the cross and crucified them there. Thus Yeshua altered the process for the Yom Kippur Ceremonial Ritual Commandment for the High Priest regarding the two goats. Yeshua did all of this on Passover.

Also, in relation, there was a reason the Curtain of the Temple was rent, which the account of the Curtain is noted in the Gospel of Matthew

Matthew 27:50

Mat 27:50 And Yeshua cried out again with a loud voice and yielded up His spirit. 51 And behold, the curtain of the Temple was torn in two, from top to bottom....

What was Yeshua's latest title before being crucified? The High Priest. That curtain was to cover the Entrance of the Temple while the High Priest was to do his annual duty in the Temple during Yom Kippur. When that curtain was rent, Yeshua was saying to them that He is the High Priest, and He is the only One that can do the Temple's Ceremonies on Yom Kippur. But since Yeshua was not going to be physically present in Jerusalem, let alone on earth, the Curtain that was rent was a token stating that the High Priest's Services on Yom Kippur will never be honored at the Temple again.

As I noted earlier, Yeshua's Garment was as the Blue Ephod which has a "mouth", as well as a "lip" without seam. This is the account of Yeshua's Garment without a seam at His crucifixion, which is noted in the Gospel of John

John 19:23-24

Joh 19:23 Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Yeshua, took His Garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also His Coat: now the Coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout. 24 They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend It, but cast lots for It, whose It shall be: that the Scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, They parted my raiment among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did.

The scripture source in verse twenty four of John's passage came from the book of Psalms

Psalm 22:18

Psa 22:18 They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.

When Yeshua on the cross cried out, in Aramaic, "Eli, Eli, Lama Sabakhtani", He was crying out to read Psalm chapter twenty two, because the words in this chapter were being fulfilled at His crucifixion including the Garments in verse eighteen of John's passage.

Yeshua's Garment, now the High Priest Garment, was not rent, because it would mean the true Word of hwhy would not be spoken with all that Yeshua spoke. Yeshua's Lip and Mouth of the Garment was kept in tact, and it lets us know that Yeshua is "still" our "Eternal High Priest". No one else, even if they could prove that they are a direct descendant of Aaron, could be a High Priest, because that very Unseamed Garment of Yeshua was not torn. Anyone who tries to make another Blue Ephod Garment, would be "illegitimate", and cannot do the High Priestly Acts at the Temple Mount, nor in the coming future Third Temple in Jerusalem. Only Yeshua could do that, and that is not likely going to happen.

Looking at a different perspective regarding Yeshua's High Priest's Garment without seam, now the High Priest Garment without seam, when Yeshua died, His High Priest Garment was to be worn by the Aaronite Levite next in line to the High Priesthood, which is based on this account, which is noted in the book of Numbers

Numbers 20:23-29

Num 20:23 And יהוה spoke to Moses and to Aaron on the Hor of the Mount (Mount of the Hor, Mount Hor), upon the border of the land of Edom, to say, 24 Aaron shall be gathered to his People: for shall not go to the land which I have given to the Sons of Israel, upon which you rebelled at את-My Mouth by the waters of Meribah. 25 Take את-Aaron, and את-Eleazar, his son, and ascend them at the Hor of the Mount (Mount of the Hor, Mount Hor): 26 And shall strip את-Aaron of את-his Garments, and you shall have  את-Eleazar, his son clothe them on: and Aaron shall be gathered and shall die there. 27 And Moses did as the which יהוה commanded: and they acended to the Hor of the Mount (Mount of the Hor, Mount Hor) to the eyes of all of the Congregation. 28 And Moses stripped את-Aaron of את-his Garments, and had את-Eleazar, his son clothed them on; and Aaron died there in the head of the mountain (the Hor): and Moses and Eleazar came down from the mountain (the Hor). 29 And all of the Congregation, they saw for Aaron had expired. And all of the House of Israel, they mourned את-Aaron thirty days.

The High Priest Garments were the same Garments wore by Eleazar's predecessor, Aaron, his father. As I noted in John's passage above, according to Scripture, and based on the book of Numbers noted above, did the next potential Aaronite Levite wear the current High Priest Garment, which was Yeshua's Unseamed Garment, that Yeshua wore? No, he didn't. Yeshua's High Priest Garment without seam was not given to the next Aaronite Levite in line to take over the High Priesthood, but the Garment was taken away by the Roman soldiers. The Roman soldiers had possession of the legitimate High Priest Garment. יהוה planned it that way, so that there would be no future legitimate High Priest on earth after Yeshua. This meant that anyone who becomes another High Priest would become an illegitimate High Priest, and anything that becomes another High Priest who does any of the High Priestly Acts would not be honored by יהוה. That also meant there was no more earthly heir apparent to the High Priesthood, because no future High Priest had Yeshua's Unseamed garment. The role of the earthly High Priest on earth ever since Yeshua's crucifixtion had stopped, and there could not be another legitimate earthly High Priest from that day onward on the earth but Yeshua, Himself. If Yeshua's Garment without seam was torn, then the High Priesthood could still be valid by getting another High Priest Unseamed Garment. The reason that Yeshua's Garment could not be torn, so that it could never be replaced.

This is a comparison chart showing the High Priest accounts in Leviticus chapter sixteen to the two Bar Abbas in the Gospels

YOM KIPPUR AFTER YESHUA'S RESURRECTION

After Yeshua died and was resurrected, when Yom HaKippurim came later in that Biblical year of Yeshua's death and resurrection, and for the next thirty nine years, a total of forty years, the Yom HaKippurim ritual could not be honored, because Yeshua was the current and Eternal High Priest. Yeshua is residing in the Kingdom of Heaven, and not in Jerusalem. This is what the apostle Paul noted in the book of Hebrews

Hebrews 5:1-10

Heb 5:1 For every High Priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to יהוה, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins: 2 Who can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; for that he himself also is compassed with infirmity. 3 And by reason hereof he ought, as for the People, so also for himself, to offer for sins. 4 And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but He that is called of hwhy, as was Aaron. 5 So also Messiah glorified not Himself to be made an High Priest; but He that said unto Him, Thou art My Son, to day have I begotten Thee. 6 As He saith also in another place, Thou art a Priest for ever after the order of Malkhi-Tsedek. 7 Who in the days of His Flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto Him that was able to save Him from death, and was heard in that He feared; 8 Though He were a Son, yet learned He obedience by the things which He suffered; 9 And being made perfect, He became the Author of Eternal Salvation unto all them that obey Him; 10 Called of יהוה an High Priest after the order of Malkhi-Tsedek.

Those that were High Priests in Jerusalem after Yeshua's death and resurrection were illegitimate to do the Yom HaKippurim activities hereafter. Only Yeshua could do it. That is why the scarlet thread did not turn into white, and that is why the lot to יהוה was in the wrong hand. These are the accounts of it in the Rabbinical writings regarding the two elements:

"Forty years before the destruction of the Temple, the western light went out, the crimson thread remained crimson, and the lot for the Lord always came up in the left hand. They would close the gates of the Temple by night and get up in the morning and find them wide open" (Jacob Neusner, The Yerushalmi, p.156-157).

"Our rabbis taught: During the last forty years before the destruction of the Temple the lot ['For the Lord'] did not come up in the right hand; nor did the crimson-colored strap become white; nor did the western most light shine; and the doors of the Hekel [Temple] would open by themselves" (Soncino version, Yoma 39b).

A QUESTION ON YESHUA AND YOM KIPPUR

Rico Cortes of Wisdom in Torah Ministries was asked by a Jewish rabbi in Israel to why Yeshua was sacrificed on Passover and not on Yom Kippur. Rico answered the Jewish rabbi that Passover was the result of inidividual sin, and Yom HaKippurim was for "corporate sin". Those who want to receive Yeshua as their Lord and Savior has to be done in an "individual basis", and not the "whole nation". If a leader of a nation says "We are believers in Yeshua now", that would be forcing the people to accept it, and it is not an individual vouluntary choice of their own free will. A great historical example of that was Constantine, Emporer of the Eastern Roman Empire, from 306 to 337 AD, who made a decree that his empire will be "Christian". Rico also noted that Yeshua fulfilled both sacrifices of Passover and Yom Kippur, because of the following:

ONE: He could not die twice, meaning Yeshua could not die on Passover and then come back and die on Yom HaKippurim in Apponted Time. This would go against the Scriptures that Yeshua had to die "only" on Passover as "the Sacrifice Lamb" which could only occur on Passover. Also, in my viewpoint, the event of Yeshua being crucified contained "harmonic overtones" of sacrifices, which I will coin a new term called "Biblical Harmonic Overtones". In musical instrumental terms, harmonic overtones are other harmonic note sounds, not actually played, occurring the same time above the one note that is actually played. A great example of this is a typical church bell. When the bell is struck, one can hear another pitch above the natural note of the bell. One of my music faculty members at the time called the bell's overtone a "chip tone", which in music technicality, in what he noted, is a high pitched fourth ordinal of the musical eight note octave. Though according to music dictionaries, this "chip tone" of the bell would be considered as a "non-harmonic overtone", since it does not fit in the harmoic overtones of musical instruments, this overtones theory analogy is not new in these Biblical Harmonic Overtones. For example, יהוה met Abraham and Sarah with the two other men which in my humble but strong opinion occurred on Sukkoth (Feast of Tabernacles), but also in the same Abrahamic account, one of the food items that Abraham gave them was "unleavened bread". Also, יהוה and the men made "haste" to go to Sodom and Gomorrah, and made Lot and his family leave Sodom and Gomorrah in "haste", which are types of the Passover- the "Biblical Harmonic Overtones" of this Sukkoth account. In the the Gospels of Matthew and Mark's account noted earlier, Yeshua and Barabbas, the symbolic "kids of the goats", with the Jewish People being the symbolic "lot stones" are "the Biblical Harmonic Overtones" of Yom Kippur, during the time of Passover.

TWO: Yeshua could not be crucified in the Temple, because He was a "Human Being", and not an animal. This was fulfilled by the account of Abraham sacrificing Isaac at Mount Moriah, which is located where the Temple stood, and יהוה stopped him and showed him a ram to sacrifice instead of his son, which is noted in the book of Genesis

Genesis 22:1-13

Gen 22:1 And was after these words, and The Elohim tested (tempted) את-Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, I. 2 And said, Take now את-your son, את-your only one, את-Isaac, which you love, and go of you to the land of the Moriah; and elevate him there for an Elevation Offering (Ascension Offering, Burnt Offering) upon one of the mountains which I will say to you. 3 And Abraham arose early (woke up, loaded up, started up) in the breaking period (morning), and saddled את-his donkey, and took את-two of his young men with him, and את Isaac his son, and cleaved (rent, broke up) the trees (wood) of the Elevation Offering (Ascension Offering, Burnt Offering), and arose, and went to the place of which The Elohim had said to him.

4 In the third day, and Abraham lifted up את-his eyes, and saw את-the place from a distance (afar off). 5 And Abraham said to his young men, Dwell to you here with the donkey; and I and the young man, we will go unto thus, and we will worship, and we will return to you. 6 And Abraham took את-the trees (wood) of the Elevation Offering (Ascension Offering, Burnt Offering), and was set (put, laid) upon Isaac, his son; and took את-the fire, and את-the knife in his hand; and the two of them, they went together.

7 And Isaac said to Abraham his father, and said, My father: and said, Behold I, my son. And said, Behold the fire and the trees (woods): and where is the lamb for the Elevation Offering (Ascension Offering, Burnt Offering)? 8 And Abraham said, Elohim will see for Himself the lamb for the Elevation Offering (Ascension Offering, Burnt Offering), my son: and the two of them, they went together. 9 And they came to the place which The Elohim said to him; and Abraham built there את-the altar, and arranged את-the trees (woods), and bound (tied up) את-Isaac, his son, and set (put) him upon the altar from upon by the trees (woods). 10 And Abraham stretched out (sent forth) את-his hand, and took את-the knife to slaughter (slay) את-his son. 11 And the Messenger of יהוה called to him from the Heavens, and said, Abraham! Abraham!: and said, Behold I. 12 And said, Do you not strech out (send forth) your hand upon the young man, and you not do to him any thing: for now I know that you are a reverer (fearer, awer) of Elohim, and you have not withheld (restrained, spared, held back) את-your son, את-your only one, from Me. 13 And Abraham lifted up את-his eyes, and looked, and behold, a ram behind was caught seized (caught, entangled) in a thicket among his horns: and Abraham went and took את-the ram, and elevated him for an Elevation Offering (Ascension Offering, Burnt Offering) instead of his son.

Only animals were to be sacrificed in the Temple. If Yeshua was sacrificed in the Temple, He, by His Own Human Body, would have defiled the Temple, and would have nullified Himself as the Messiah, the Sacrifice Lamb.

THREE: He also could not be a Yom Kippur sacrifice, because He was the current High Priest on Passover before He was crucified, and a High Priest cannot kill himself, especially Yeshua, especially on Yom HaKippurim.

ONE FINAL NOTE

When Yeshua died on the cross, He paid the price for all sins. He did this not just for His generation but for future generations as well. Ever since Yeshua became our current and Eternal High Priest, He has been continuing to atone for our sins every year, on the tenth day of the seventh month, on Yom HaKippurim, via His Own Blood that was at the Heavenly Temple, in the Kingdom of Heaven.
