Trick Or Treat: The Wicked Truth About Halloween

Jim Staley of Passion For Truth Ministries has a teaching on his You Tube channel regarding Halloween

Should Christians Celebrate Any Version of Halloween?

Jim Staley

I want to build on some of those roots by taking it one step further by revealing the Biblical roots of Halloween.

There were three basic needs for any holiday, whether righteous or not, during ancient times:

1: People to officiate a holiday.

2: Tribal people for their own tribal rituals.

3: A date for the holiday.

The basics of Halloween, formerly known as "All Hallows Eve", goes back to the Anglo-Saxon times and further back during the Roman occupation of Gaul (France) and Britain.

The ancient times of Halloween were based on the Celtic and Gaelic Druids, the so-called priests.

If one asks anyone on the streets from what country Halloween originated, those who know would say from Great Britain and Western Europe.

The date of Halloween that we know today, October 31st, came from historic connections

This next segment will be the next step to connect these three main factors further back, in general, to the biblical period.

It has been well known that there were tribal peoples who played a religious role on Halloween. These people are called the Druids. They were the earliest ones known to celebrate this pagan holiday. According to Wikipedia, they are usually high ranking people in their social status. They were like the Jewish people of Yeshua's time who were not Levites, but those who were of high social and political status. Though they were pagan, they were, in general, not proper officiators, or one could say "priests", to do the ceremonial activities, but simply common people not of priestly status or of the priestly line.

These activities were based on the fact that these ancient western tribes, according to Yair Davidiy of Brit Am and Hebrew Nations, they are the ancient descendants of the lost ten northern tribes of Israel. These are the tribal names of some of the tribes during the Anglo-Saxon period:

Gauls (modern day France and Southwestern Scotland)
Celts (modern day Ireland)
Anglos (modern day England)

As one knows, letters can change slightly in words or names throughout generations and time.
One example is Isaac's name in Hebrew, commonly written "qxuy"- Yod, Tsade, Khet, Kuph (pronounced 'Yits-khak'). But in Psalms 105 verse 9 the Hebrew name of Isaac is spelled "qxsy"- Yod, Shin, Khet, Kuph (pronounced 'Yis-khak'). This is one of many examples that have an altering of letters, but yet the same name and person.

One can see the words "Gaul" and "Anglo" have the same common letters "g" and "l". Celt has the letter "c" that could be similar to the letter "g", and it contains the letter "l" in its name as well. Take the "g" and the "l", put them together, we get "gl".

Gaul-    GL
Anglo- GL
Celt-     CL

There is a Hebrew word with those two lettersm and it is "gahl"- Gimel, Lamed (
lg). It comes from the Hebrew word "galah"- Gimel, Lamed Heh (hlg). It comes from Strong's concordance number 1540, and its definition

A primitive root; to denude (especially in a disgraceful sense); by implication to exile (captives being usually stripped); figuratively to reveal: -  + advertise, appear, bewray, bring, (carry, lead, go) captive (into captivity), depart, disclose, discover, exile, be gone, open, X plainly, publish, remove, reveal, X shamelessly, shew, X surely, tell, uncover.

It is also where we get the Hebrew word "galut"- Gimel, Lamed Tav (
tlg) which is mentioned in the Hebrew Biblical Text. This Hebrew word means "exile". Therefore, these were the "exiled people".

On a page from Caesar's Gallic War, Caesar explained the tribal people in Gaul, which is in France:

This is a map of the tribal locations of Gaul in Caesar's day

Another tribal name is "Saxon" (modern day England). In this case one letter is missing from this tribal name to see its true identity. It is letter "i". Add the letter before the name and one gets "Isaxon". Sounds very much like "Isaacson". It is because they are. They are revealing themselves as the sons of Isaac. They are also of the decsendants of Jacob, the son of Isaac. Ten of Jacob's sons are descendants of the lost ten northern tribes of Israel. Those are the ones who later separated to make their own kingdom during the reign of Rehoboam, son of King Solomon.

One more ancient tribal name in western Europe is "Bretons" (modern day Northern France and England). The name should speak for itself. Change the "e" to an "i" and we get "Britons". The name is of the Hebrew word "brith" meaning "covenant". That is why Yair Davidiy calls them, based on the name of his web site, "Brit Am" or "covenant people". This is the tribal name that "Britain" is called.

This is a map taken from Wikipedia on the Saxons showing most of these major tribes in Western Europe in the fifth century AD

Europe 5th Century

in this section, there is strong proof that the ancient tribes in Britain and France were descendants of the lost ten northern tribes of Israel.

A Gaelic ritual that is observed today, during the time of Halloween, is called "Sahmain" (pronounced Sah-win). According to Wikipedia, this word defines a Gealic month, and the ritual occurs between October 31st to November 2nd. This is the link to the Wikipedia page:

This is a perspective to the origin of Sahmain:
First a reminder that this event occurs, at the earliest, in October. Since now we know that Sahmain is a Gaelic month, there is a Hebrew word that relates to this term, and it is the word "Shemonah" (hnms
). It is from Strong's concordance number 8083, and its definition

Apparently from H8082 through the idea of plumpness; a cardinal number, eight (as if a surplus above the “perfect” seven); also (as ordinal) eighth: - eight ([-een, -eenth]), eighth.

The word "Shemonah" is the Hebrew number "eight". Going back to October, the tenth month of the Gregorian year, the word "Oct" in October is Latin for "eight". Based on this information, this establishes that Sahmain is eight, meaning the eighth month in the Hebrew calendar. Also, in generality, the dates of Haloween between the end of October and the beginning of November on our Gregorian calendar is in the same time frame as half way in the Biblical eighth month in the Hebrew calendar, which occurs in generality between mid October and mid November.

This is the Biblical scripture of the beginning of modern day Halloween

1 Kings 12:25-33

1Ki 12:25 Then [King] Jeroboam [of the northern kingdom of Israel] built
ta-Shechem in mount Ephraim, and dwelt therein; and went out from thence, and built ta-Penuel. 26 And Jeroboam said in his heart, Now shall the kingdom return to the house of David: 27 If this people go up to do sacrifice in the house of hwhy at Jerusalem, then shall the heart of this people turn again unto their lord, even unto Rehoboam king of Judah, and they shall kill me, and go again to Rehoboam king of Judah. 28 Whereupon the king took counsel, and made two calves of gold, and said unto them, It is too much for you to go up to Jerusalem: behold thy elohim, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. 29 And he set ta-the one in Bethel, and ta-the other put he in Dan. 30 And this thing became a sin: for the people went to worship before the one, even unto Dan. 31 And he made ta-an house of high places, and made priests of the lowest of the people, which were not of the sons of Levi. 32 And Jeroboam ordained a feast in the eighth month, on the fifteenth day of the month, like unto the feast that is in Judah, and he offered upon the altar. So did he in Bethel, sacrificing unto the calves that he had made: and he placed in Bethel ta-the priests of the high places which he had made. 33 So he offered upon the altar which he had made in Bethel the fifteenth day of the eighth month, even in the month which he had devised of his own heart; and made a feast unto the sons of Israel: and he offered upon the altar of the burnt incense.

King Jeroboam of the Ten Northern Tribes of Israel, created common priests, not of the tribe of Levi from The Northern Tribes of Israel made the date of the eighth month of the fifteenth day of the month.

He did this because he was afraid that the people he was reigning would go to Jerusalem and want to return to unite with King Rehoboam. His fear caused him to not believe in
hwhy that he would rule the northern kingdom.

One more segment to this teaching

In some of my Torah portions, I have made note regarding The Food Covenant, and I give full credit to Rico Cortes of Wisdom In Torah Ministries for revealing this to me. As I made note in the Torah portions, a food covenant is the final step that is used in various kinds of means during Biblical times: business deals, marriages, agreements, excepting the elohim one submits to, and the exceptance of high holy day. In this case of this teaching in the book of Kings mentioned above, in verse thirty three, they made a feast. This feast was an act of accepting the elohim King Jeroboam created, and that fact that they ate on that day to these elohim sealed their covenant saying that this day is their festive day to offer to their pagan elohim, just like what happened to some of the Israelite men who were involved with the Moab pagan elohim in the Torah portion of Balak

Numbers 25:1-3

Num 25:1 And Israel dwelled in the Shittim, and the people profaned to fornicate to the daughters of Moab. 2 And they called the people to the sacrifices of their elohim: and the people ate, and bowed down to their elohim. 3 And Israel joined to Baal Peor: and burned the anger of
hwhy among Israel.

Theysealed their covenant to the Moabite pagan elohim, and it cost them their lives. King Jeroboam caused the Northern ten tribes to accept the pagan elohim of the golden calf and separated themselves from the true Elohim and the true location where they were to offer to
hwhy, in Jerusalem. This cost the Ten Northern Tribes of Israel to ultimately lose their inheritance in the land, and resulted in hwhy divorcing them from the covenant and their exile into Assyria around 732 BC.

The descendants of these false priests became the Druids. The descendants of the
Ten Northern Tribes of Israel settled in Western Europe and Great Britain. King Jeroboam's feast, on the fifteenth day of the eighth month, later became the calendar date for the observance of Halloween on October

We need to forgive King Jeroboam for his fears that caused him to create this pagan day, and ask
hwhy to forgive us for practicing our ancestors' pagan feast that our uncle King Jeroboam created and break the food covenant that sealed our ancestors' fates. I strongly urge those who are considering to participate in these activities not to do it and not partake of the food during Halloween. This is the result of King Jeroboam's rebellion against hwhy, and if one does it, I plead you to go hwhy, our Heavenly Father about this.

I pray this super short teaching was an eye opener to you.
